Evening everyone
Back to work today - had to walk out of a couple of lessons briefly as I had coughing fits, but other than that, it was okay. I'm just shattered, I need an early night tonight!
11th NSD of November today, so doing pretty well on that front. I will need to get some petrol soonish, but I'm hoping to not have to get some til next week. Saying that, I noticed that our local petrol station is currently 129.9p a litre, so we shall see, that's quite good for here.
Hope everyone is wellBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

had £1.50 off mate towards what she owes me and instead of keeping it in my purse i went and spent it on a fruit juice drink, snickers and a ruffle bar, left me with 11p.
ah well i needed the boost of a treat, think we all do ontimes.x0 -

Next week I think we will be on wartime rations - my son is doing WW2 at school and I thought we'd try it for a week, substituting smoked salmon for bacon 'cos he doesn't eat meat and you can cook the same sort of things with smoked salmon. I found this list from here - http://1940sexperiment.wordpress.com/rationing-diet-sheets/ (which also has some great recipes)
- Bacon & Ham 4 oz
- Meat to the value of 1 shilling and sixpence (around about 1/2 lb minced beef) (we will substitute fish for meat)
- Butter 2 oz
- Cheese 2 oz
- Margarine 4 oz
- Cooking fat 4 oz
- Milk 3 pints
- Sugar 8 oz
- Preserves 1 lb every 2 months
- Tea 2 oz
- Eggs 1 fresh egg per week
- Sweets/Candy 12 oz every 4 weeks
Would flour be limited? There wouldn't be any pasta, would there be rice? We have loads of potatos :-)0 -

porridge has got to be better for you, and cheaper0 -
Dizzy, I use those savory mince packets too
. And the sos mix ones, ESP the Lincolnshire, it's yummy. The only Asda packet we didn't like too much was the chicken meat loaf one, it was ok covered in gravy but not very satisfying.
Not very frugal today... Coffee at lunch with a friend, but they'd ran out of milk so were delayed, so they didn't charge us! And I'd had the good hot chocolate! Woo!
Ran into HBargains for toothpaste, floss and mouthwash. Really need to look after my teeth better. I don't have bad breath and do clean twice a day, but apparently not for long enough. Must do better.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. Hum, I won't! But I wish u luck. I tried simiar the other week... It didn't work for me so I didn't mention it. I ended up in the very embarrassing position of having to borrow 50p at a church coffee morning when everyone decided on seconds that I hadn't budgeted for.I could have just left but was having a nice chat, wasnt finished my bit of stitching, and anyway, it was Far warmer in there than at hone!!:rotfl: I paid back the 50p today:)
