Thanks for that Purple, I had a look, I don't think they want people in my area but def one to watch.
I am very much in the "no chemical" camp, use as many natural products as I can and as for baby formula, don't get me started, surfice to say both my boys were hanging off my boobies until they had cows milk!! That is just my preference though!! Each to their own and what works for them.
I did a groupon yesterday for lovefilm, £6 for 3 months, 2 DVDs at a time, but unlimited so as soon as you return one, they send another. Should be nearly £14 a month. I figure over Winter, we'll stay in a watch movies rather than going out spending.
Although, I must admit (hangs head) I have booked tickets to go and see the new twilight film this weekend, I am a massive addict so it is one of those things where frugal ways take a back seat. Anyone else twilight fans?
No spend day today and my sewing machine came, yay! It's still in the box though, me and some friends are having a crafting / sewing evening on Sat :-) Also been invited to another book swap next weekend, lots of lovely things going on at the moment.

Am pleased to say I have not spent a penny in cash the last three days.0 -
Hi
thanks for the heads up on the co** chicken as we like to have humanly treated meat if we can - just not have as much
I have been out tonight with the girls. the local cinema put the film " grease" with all the ticket price ( £6.00 ) going to children in need so I had a lovely evening
hope everyone is ok - take careEmma :hello:0 -
Hi everyone
Just had a really strange moment!! I went to bed this afternoon, due to weeks of pain with my back.
I managed to get to the docs this morning but that trip really wiped me out. I haven't slept more than four hours a night in weeks so I am really flagging. Any hoo ......... went to bed and must have dozed off eventually and then DH came in and lifted my eyelid to see if I was awake. I grumbled a little and he went downstairs but then I was really really annoyed as he knows I have not had any sleep so I got up and kinds Stormed, hobbled down the stairs to give him a piece of my mind for waking me up..........
........ Get downstairs and he is not even there he is still at work and never been back home today :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: What's all that about ??
Plans have totally gone out of the window today but at least a no spend day.

PIC, hope all is ok and you feel better soon.
NSD for the last 2 days, bought a loaf of bread today cos I got given some flour and it is going to take some getting used to, it makes very heavy bread!
Been sewing patchwork for my son's quilt, got a pile of presents for family I need to go through soon and work out the gaps.
Heating is on but low and only for a couple of hours a day. I'm sat with a hot water bottle most of the time. I have a stash of wood for burning though.
Nearly at my goal weight, only 2 pounds over on the scales today but I was cold and sad so I ate 4 slices of the new bought bread with butter :-) I do like to scupper my successes.
I've decided to get an accountant to sort my tax return etc out. I stress about it so much and I know I am not claiming half of the receipts I could. I've an appt to see him in a few weeks but I looked at their website and they seem to to a small business package, all in, bookkeeping, tax return, advice etc. for £550 which looks pretty good to me. I'm in this stupid situation where if I earn over £100 a week I lose £60 and the tax credits really didn't understand what I do for a living so they are on my case. The woman who assessed me didn't know what a blog was! I spend a lot of time social networking because it leads to sales, and people pay to advertise on my blog but I could have been an alien on a different planet and the tax credits would have understood me just as well :-) Hopefully next year I'll be able to afford to lose the £60 a week.0 -

PIC x
Had something silmilar happen to me paidinchix though I wasn't poorly at the time.
Was in bed and felt OH get into bed and I thought Oh he must have come home from work early, but still sleepy I just nodded off again.
But no he hadn't come home from work at all, until the morning!
Could be that when we are in a deep sleep state we 'dream' these things and as they are so vivid we think it must really have happened.
If it isn't that then the alternative doesn't bear thinking about
PurpleOrchid well done on the no spend days. It feels good doesn't it
Tumpty Yay for the weightloss :T
Natnat have a lovely craft day with your new sewing machine and friends.
Keep warm everyone

Dizzy - what is your running total for?0

Hiya Tumpty. I challenged myself to a spend of £50 for the week. That was for everything. I was using what we had in the freezer and storecupboards too. Changed £50 into one pound coins and split them into 7 bank bags, with a £1 left over. Anyway Im doing so well I'm just carrying on with it for now. I'm enjoying keeping my money in my purse for a change

 I'll drink to that
Think I may have one maybe two more meals that I can conjure up out of the kitchen and then that really is it!
Had a few of OHs potatoes left and a Mr A savoury mince packet, which are so tasty made into a shepherds pie and they are 68p approx a packet. So made a shepherds pie for me and had with beetroot and petit pois. It is sooooo delish. Saved some for DD if she wants some when she gets home from boyfriends. Also took some out before I put potatoes on top and added to penne pasta for DS, he doesn't eat potatoes. Also put some in a bowl for my dinner tomorrow and...phew OH has taken a portion to work with petit pois peas. Yes it does go far,I have to say we don't eat big portions here though, so it would maybe do for 3 people with normal ish portions. You can also buy it in bolognese flavour and a chilli one. It's a dried soya mix with the flavourings and you just add water. It might not be to everyones taste but everyone here likes it and they are fussy eaters. Anyway I think what I'm meaning to say is for that price, have a try. You might like it, you might hate it, but it won't break the bank.
I've got some swedish glace ice cream in the freezer so I'm having some of that later.
A low spend day today £3 only :j
Warm hugs
