Thanks for the link seriouslyfrugal. We watched the drama with Victoria Wood and her husband was played by the main character from the series Shameless. He was unrecognizable! I remember we all watched it which is unusual for us here
Have popped to Mr As and was lucky in that DD went in and bought a fair few bits for tea and more. I sat in the car and waited for her as I only wanted sugar so she said she'd get it. When she came back to the car loaded up I said 'What's the point in me being careful with my money and then you're spending yours?"
She said "Well at least the freezers a bit full again"Oh Bless her cotton socks she's a sweetheart.
I'm determined to finish DDs wristwarmers tonight as I've got other bits to do but can't seem to get going again!

I've come to this thread a bit late but I have been trying to be frugal for a few months and I will continue to do it afresh in 2012 if a new thread is made
I have already started this year by making homemade foodie christmas presents thanks to the homemade gifts and hampers threads and shopping around for best bargains.
Just got to remember not to spend anymore now all the Christmas shopping's done and dusted! :j0 -
have just sat here for 2 n half hrs going through the deals on tesco site and also making a note of all the prices on other items i have on my list.
i have £20 to feed me and 3 cats for 3 weeks.
my list is £21.09. hoping to bring it down more. have had to work out 21 meals for myself and double or more than that for the cats, but i was lucky and managed to get 24 cans of kitekate on amazon for £10.60, and used some evouchers i had to pay for them, so only got to buy their biscuits.
really dislike going shopping, scrapping for every penny:(0 -

Hello fellow frugallers:j:j
Welcome to all the newbies- the more the merrier!
This is the link to the 2012 thread which Frugaldom has set up [it's on the debt free diary board]
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3612005
Have had a frugal jolly today- went to Nymans for a lovely stroll although did succumb to a cake:D [but it was so huge that Mr GBT and I shared it] but we're members [of the Scottish NT as it's cheaper] so it was free entry.
The small person is off with Scouts this weekend so Mr GBT and I have taken advantage of the 2 meals for £10 at Mr T. Cheaper than a takeaway and a bottle of wine with it aswell- used a £3 off voucher that they'd sent through which was due to expire.
