The thought of bread and butter pud makes me shudder all i can think of is all that soggy bread  anyway most of my stale bread goes to either toasting or feeding the birds. Trying not to do my weekly shop this week as most cupboards and freezer full, think its cos i get into a routine that every friday i have to shop, its not like we will starve if we dont, may go for a walk instead.xx:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

I love bread pudding (not so keen on bread & butter pudding). A coffee shop I go to with my grandma sells huge slice of the most delicious looking bread pudding - I keep looking at it but so far have resisted! The slices are enormous! I think I would need to take some like-minded friends to share it with!!!
Incidentally, if you are thinking that trips to coffee shops aren't that frugal, well she loves to get out & about (she'll be 103 next month) so I drive & she buys lunch! She usually has a dinner & I have soup, as I have dinner in the evening with DH so don't want much at lunchtime.0

It was the bfs birthday on Tuesday , ages ago I got tickets to go see the Guillemots in the Or!n Mòr. Was fantastic! Having not heard any of their new stuff, I wasn't really looking forward to it, but they were great!

Try putting some mincemeat (the sweet sort out of a jar) in it, or cherries or even mixed peel, makes it much better0

On a worse note, I have lost 4 of my friends this weekend - 1 passed away after a 'routine operation' to remove an abcess on her liver on Friday, and 3 died in the M5 crash on Friday night. My thoughts are with all their families.
I am soo sorry to hear this very sad news, my thoughts are with you and your family as you come to terms with this devastating news.

Those who responded to my friends fatal crash had to take time off work after what they had witnessed.
They must witness soo much horror on a daily basis. I have so much respect for them.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

I am never ever relining a coat again!Tumpty, how did u get on with the lining the coat?
my machine hates sewing lining material, it was a padded lining which caused more problems and now the padding is so fat that the coat is tight on me. I have a plan though, I'm going to insert panels in the side seam but not this week!
Been cutting out patchwork pieces ready for the next quilt :-)0
