Hello everyone, hope things are going ok.
Picked up a lovely little herb planter type thing at The Works today for £7, will be Mums Xmas presentHas been quite a frugal weekend - Mum paid to go to some fireworks last night and OH was here this weekend so we walked around the resevoir yesterday, gorgeous autumnal colours.
On a worse note, I have lost 4 of my friends this weekend - 1 passed away after a 'routine operation' to remove an abcess on her liver on Friday, and 3 died in the M5 crash on Friday night. My thoughts are with all their families. We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Oh jings Blairweech, I'm so sorry to hear that
There is nothing I can say that will be of any comfort, but you know we're all here for you if you need us. *hug*0 -
Blaireweech, huge hugs, I drive past that junction frequently and it's horrific what has happened.0

Just about to re-line a coat, wish me luck!0

Blairweech so sorry to hear that :-( Just awful. My heart goes out to all the families involved. A very very tragic accident.
This link was posted on the hampers thread thanks to andipandi72. I'm sure it will come in useful for us on here. Some great ideas.
On a frugal note knitted some new wristwarmers with wool I already had in, which I wore today to a vintage fair and got some lovely comments from some of the stall holders about them
I'm still getting mild headaches and thought my new glasses would sort that out. They are quite tight though so maybe that's not helping. They felt fine when I tried them on but should have taken into account they'd be on all day. Can't win...Picking my readers up tomorrow so at least I can have a break from my varifocals.
Extra day off tomorrow due to it being a pad day and TAs and other staff don't have to go in, unless it's necessary, so I'm going to take the opportunity to do some more Christmas crafting.
Not much else has been happening. Ordered this book from Amazon, arrived Friday and it's a book I can really relate to. I would much rather be crafting than polishing and hoovering, who wouldn't?
Warm hugs to everyone
