Are you using different cases? I find some do the same thing so I always buy the cases from Morrisons now because its never happened with theirs.

I agree about the cases. I use th Dr Oetker muffin cases and cook in a muffin tray and leave them in the tray until they're completely cool. I can't remember which cases i used to use but they always came away from the edges!
  • Been busy this evening making cupcakes, first time having a go with the silicone moulds.

You need to use flower paste, or add tylo powder to your sugar paste. Dust the inside of the mould with a bit of icing sugar, and you should have no trouble getting them out

Lovely cake, and a fantastic cause
  • I really want some button moulds, where did you get yours from guys?? :-)

Also - doe anyone have a good/tried and tested pipeable chocolate ganache (not flavored buttercream recipe)??? I did a cake decorating evening and theirs was DIVINE! But as they sell cupcakes they won't part with their recipe! Boo!

Ive been making so many commissions lately - its so time consuming. I already have 2 25 hour jobs.... But friends of friends keep asking and its hard to turn down... I have A LOT of respect for people who do like 8 wedding cakes a week etc! Phew! :)
