yeah hope they have them in store, I want the christmas tree cookie stacker :) I want to make some boozy cupcakes for xmas for friends, can anyone point me in the direction of some recipes :)

You could try this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Boozy-Baker-Intoxicating-Recipes-Spirited/dp/0762438029/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316983351&sr=8-1

Although it does not have any reviews on the Amazon UK site, it has brilliant reviews on amazon.com, I reckon its a good one.

  • Hiya, not sure if anyone can help. I am having a nightmare at the moment with cupcake cases, they keep pulling away from the cake!!! I have to make 100 this weekend for a party (they aren't paying!) and I have been using smaller cases. I have adjusted the temp/time and not sure what else to do?? On a plus side I have just made some cakepops and they came out ok, which is a good job as I also have to make these for the party along with a giant cupcake.

Are you leaving them to cool completely before storing/icing?
  • In Sainsburys today I bought a 3 pack of Dr Oetker Gel Food Colours (yellow, red & blue) they are currently on offer at the bargain price of £1.41! :) I also managed to find a few packs of Eric Elephant Cake Decorations for 5p per pack!

    See this thread for info!

I used to have that happen a lot with cases but I started pushing the mixture right into the edges with a tea spoon and its never happened again.

I redid the body for the blonde girl as I wasnt overly happy with my first attempt, and the fact that the legs fell off when I lifted it. It deffo gets easier the more you do these things.

try and make your mixture a bit wetter by adding a splash of milk so when you put it in it reaches the sides better before cooking also i cook my cupcakes in a muffin tray as this tends to keep the shape better
