After doing a treasure chest cake for ym sons 3rd birthday ive been asked to do a princess cake fro my sis in law - and shes asked for a chocolate running moat - any ideas????

    Thx in advance

I don't know about an actual running moat, but you could make a moat out of ganache (equal amounts of melted chocolate and double cream mixed together)

you could use chocolate milkshake and a fountain cake stand to give it something theatrical. or just create the moat and then use a small battery powered propeller (something like you would have on a model boat) to create a flow around the base of the cake

just cover cake with cream and simply press slices of fruit in what ever design you want on the sides or top or both

    Hi Annie
The cake is fab well done. How do you do the writing and keep it so neat and is it a real wonka bar or one you have made its great.

Has anyone froze their cakes before decorating? Was hoping to bake dd birthday cake and freeze it until Tuesday then decorate it for her birtday on Wed but not sure what it will be like when defrosted. Any advise is appreciated
    TIA
