awesome 2 , on my cake forum this seems to happening alot to people, and i don't think it is the weather, as this started happening to me this year in the winter.
No one seems to know why it is happening unfortunately.0 -
 Awesome2
I had the same problem too but only with chocolate cupcakes. After experimenting with different cases and ingredients I discovered it was because I changed the brand of cocoa powder I used. Have you changed any ingredients in your recipe recently? Hope that helps'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -

I hope it's okay to ask on this thread. I just admired all the cakes, so beautiful. I have what looks like a yummy carrot cake recipe which calls for 2 9 inch tins, I only have 2 8 inch tins. Would you happen to know what ratio I would need to scale down by? I might break my artistic brain doing linear thinking! Thank you so much if anyone can.0

I have the answer! It's reduced by 20%0

This idea may have been posted before, but it's very easy to make a decent cake using cake mix and any carbonated drink.
Simply add carbonated drink of choice to any cake mix and bake. Do not add eggs or any of the other stuff they say on the packet.
One small glass of carbonated drink should be added to two packs of basics supermarket cake mix (around 220g-230g each), then baked at 200C for around 30 minutes.
I tend to use either diet drinks (since the cake mix already includes sugar) or soda water. You can add other flavourings if you want, such as mixed spice, or vanilla essence.
This is a good cake to try for those who maybe always have problems baking, or just don't have the time, energy for anything more complicated.0
