They won't fall of you've got plenty of depth on those rose stems. They look fab:) its gonna be better than the photo you posted:)

Thanks Kevin! It wasn't nearly as stressful as I'd anticipated!

I got one of these stainless steel wall panels from Ikea to use as a work surface for rolling out my sugar paste etc and I have to say, for all the money I have spent on ckae stuff, this has to be the best thing I have bought. Nothing stuck to it at all. I used a little icing sugar when rolling out the paste for the base of the giant cupcake as a precaution. I love it and it's a great size too. It was £20.

My early morning's baking session went ok, but took me a lot longer than I had expected. I definitely need to invest in a food processor - grating the best part of 1kg of carrots at 4.30am half-killed me!

The banana bread was too big to fit in my cake box untrimmed, so I sampled a little, and that was good. I also tried the tiniest crumb of the carrot cake left in the tin, it didn't taste sweet at all so I syruped it, did a quick icing and stuck walnuts and candied peel on top. Both are all packed away and out of sight and mind - am saving them for a birthday celebration on Sunday. There's a lot of cake there to enjoy and I'm hoping it's fully appreciated .
