hi Annie, just be REALLY careful with what your doing, if you are now charging for your cakes, you will need to notify tax credits, have a hygiene certificate, have the kitchen checked etc.
they have stated to look through facebook to catch people.

Nuttymummy thanks, yes I've really just set the page up to see if there's any interest while I go about doing all the right things to be able to charge for my cakes. At the moment, I don't make them for profit, but I've contacted my local council to ask for guidance on what I need to do to be able to sell cakes from home.0

A bit on the small side for me but my eyes are n't that good anyway.......next week, I'm going to have a go at making a giant cupcake...my silicone mould has just arrived and I have also bought some windsor alphabet letters to have a go with...I have a feeling they may be tricky to use.0

Hi
I would like to have a go at making a giant cupcake for my little one's birthday.
On eBay there are metal tins and sillicone moulds.
Which would you recommend?
Thanks for reading

The one I have bought, but have not tried yet is a Big Top silicone one off Ebay. I did like the Lakeland tin one, but decided it would take up a lot of storage space and also heard that the top can cook quicker than the base. With the silicone one I can remove the top before the base if I think it is cooked and the one I bought has an insert that you remove after baking and it can be filled with buttercream etc. Must be well greased and floured or use cake release as I've read that they can be tricky to remove whole. Will try it out next weekend...fingers crossed. Hope I get the amounts correct to fill it !0

Just made some cake pops for my OH's work colleague. oh, they were a mare! It's the first time I've had any kind of trouble making them, and I nearly gave in. I had to coat most of them twice, as they kept leaking grease _pale_
But they turned out OK in the end0
