just wondering what do you do to stop fondant cracking when modeling and also when covering cake boards, i have to make a 2 tier purple cake soon with models of cauldrons and witches.
lovely cakes as usual nutty mummy0 -
julie sometimes its because its drying out too quick...but some colours will naturally crack depending on what you use to make the colour (i find grey and purple crack quite alot!) the trick is to be abit faster and maybe rub a very small amount of trex into it (this will make it shiny though)
and thanks :)x:dance:

I've been asked to make some cupcakes for a 25th wedding anniversary and they want silver butterflies and flowers on them. I'm going to make them out of gum paste but any ideas on getting them silver as you can't buy silver food colouring can you? Thanks0
