Just got the sony in mine - working sweet!!!

the 2gb fake i got seemed pretty good (see my one of my posts earlier), otherwise get the 1 gig sandisk from 7dayshop (also another of my posts earlier), i also ordered that although it came with a duo adapter in the plastic cover (without packaging) im suspicious it might also be a fake.

please can some one help downgrading my fw to 1.5!!!

I understand most of the instruction upto the point where it says after all the files have been extracted then go to PHOTO in XMB and run HEND.

what is XMB?

what does it mean when it says:

-(1) Execute the idstoragechange. It needs 75% battery.
It will change some keyes of your idstorage needed to downgrade the ta-082.

(2) The program will exit to the XMB. Now execute the generic downgrade, which will show in the xmb
as "Update X.YX" in the psp language.

please elaborate on the above two statements as I am a complete novice to this.

XMB = Cross Menu Bar

You need to watch the video of someone doing the downgrade, its on the psp-hacks link early on in the thread, Hend takes a few tries, i got lucky on my 5th try. Otherwise it just locks and eventually reboots.

Yeah, 2nd time for me. I thought that was 'bricking' lol, I found it really stressful downgrading to 1.5 but afterwards going to 3.02 OE B was really easy. Once you realise that only being daft will hurt your PSP then you can relax.

You should be on 3.03OE now...there was another update. It's just as easy to install as 3.02OE.

Yep, latest firmware is 3.03 OE-A'. My case should arrive any time now

Any recommended XVid / DivX players for the PSP?

I have some mpg and xvid files I noticed the playback on the PSP using the sample spiderman trailer disc was very good.
