  • Why don't Microsoft and other computer companies advertise this feature? It's worked wonders for some of you (but not me :().

  • Tried it yesterday and it worked for me! I have a Compaq Armada E500 with XL Professional. Clicked 'Display' then 'Appearances' and got 'Fonts'. It was set at 'Normal' but the scroll down menu gave 'Large Text' and 'Extra Large Text' as alternatives. Being a visually challenged 57 year old I went for 'Extra Large' and it's much better. Also straightforward reversal using the scroll. Many thanks!!
  • anyone know how to do this on an applemac?

    thanks, pauline

  • Very useful, thanks. When I adopted XP and an LCD screen, I was disappointed with the clarity compared with my previous CRT set-up plus earlier Windows package. This tip has improved matters significantly.

I've got a Dell 9300 laptop. This was a marginal improvement for me, but then the laptop fan just wouldn't shut up! It took some time to make the connection... so it's back to standard for me - anything for a quiet life!
