    ive a flat screen and it doesnt do anything, looks the same cleartype and on standard

    I used your Microsoft link, Nellylock, and the results are dramatically better on my TFT monitor. Many thanks!

    It works great on my laptop AND on my desktop (with 19" CRT).
    I think with CRT screens its down to the resolution as if I use 1600x1200 (my preferred resolution) it looks great, but if I drop to 1024x768 it doesnt look as good and 800x600 it looks poor and blurry.

    I've got a 15.4 WXGA TFT screen with my laptop and it makes everything worse (text is more blurry and overlaps) so I'll give it a miss me thinks ;)
