Eeek! I just weighed myself for my starting weight. I was a bit shocked to find I weigh 11st9! I should note that I am only 5ft1, so ideally I should be around 8 to 8 1/2 stone! Though I would be happy with 9 stone right now:(

I'm really cross with myself for letting this happen, so changes will have to be made! Going back onto skimmed milk, and digging out my frylite spray for starters. Little changes like that can over time bring about big changes! I don't want to just crash diet then put it all back on. I want to change my eating habits, one thing at a time so that it becomes the norm for me. I'm also going to cut back on the amount of bread I consume

Good luck everyone! These things are never easy but together we can do it!

Yep we can do it together!! we all have some big numbers to lose but we can do it - slow and steady!! (gone are the days of being able to lose a stone in a week just by eating right - damn my 16 year old self!!) xxx

So I got on the scales this morning and I have lost the pound I had put on which is good, but won't count that for this challenge. So my starting weight is an embarasing 18st 6lb :o which at 5'7 is about 7 stone overweight, but my weight is only going one way from now on.

I'm out tonight for my sisters birthday so I will avoid the starters, so I can have a dessert - not only good for the waistline, but also for the bank balance. I would say I will stick to soft drinks with plenty of tap water, but I know me and I will have plenty of wine.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend and with the weather being so good I'm going to get my trainers on and go for a nice long walk, I hope the family will come with me, but if not, it won't stop me going.

I so agree with this, I want to change my eating habits for the rest of my life. It has to be a life change ,not a diet. Bread is a big problem for me as in ..........I love it. 6 slices a day at a whopping 500 and odd calories

right got on the scales this morning and my starting weight is 14st 5lbs! have saved for zumba fitness so going to have a bash at that this morning while waiting for the washing to finish then a gorgeous day in the garden weeding and tidying up. BBQ at my friends tonight so going to have to do some research into calorie content! am aiming for a NSD today to take it to 4 this week. Have a bottle of wine in storage to take as a gift and a voucher for local shop so can get sausages or burgers. have a lovely day everyone :) xx

Don't worry this thread is for all. Its a bit like being in debt, some on here have huge debts and others much smaller, but one thing we all need is support and thats what we will get here.

Maybe we should stick together on this as its likely we will be taking longer to get where we need to. How are you going to go about losing the weight? I'm going to stick to healthier foods, keep off the wine except at weekends and start to exercise on top of walking 30 mins a day. I've just got the Mr Motivator BLT dvd which has 7 different 10 min routines, think this will be ideal for me as I am very unfit and want to do exercise before work so 10 mins will be ideal as I won't have to get up much earlier as I am not a morning person.
