    There you go, mystery solved.

It explains why the OP encountered another person with the same name. Until such time as she can identify if the other person is genuine, that means nothing.

OP - it may be that someone has an unusual first name and has married someone with an unsual surname.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Well for a bit of fun enter your name here http://www.yournotme.com/ tells you how many people in the UK apparently have the same name as you.....
I really don't know how accurate it is though but there is apparently 13 of me (I have an unusual surname)

Seems I don't exist as far as it's concerned . I knew my surname was unusual but not that unusual :rotfl:.

When my youngest son was a child his name was pretty unusual - Welsh first name English surname. unfortunately, there was another child the exact same age that also had a similar but not as bad, medical condition and frequent flyer miles in the nearest large hospital - and the number of times the wrong notes were sent up!!! it got so that I made a point of asking the doctors or nurses to check the address, the birthdate was the same as my sons too!!!!! as his name was so unusual they took it for granted the notes were the right ones (I knew my sons notes by the thickness and the tattiness of the covers!) not really helpful I know - but just to warn you that you cant be too careful!

Oh I like this site, there are 4 of me... weirdly enough I do know 1 of me and she is the same age and star sign as me AND we both have daughters the same age both with similar names (she added me on a social networking a while back which is how i came to know her), so I would take it as a co-inky-dink :)

I'm unique too, but only since I've married. Before that I was one of 317.

During that time I called a company I had never used before to get an insurance quote and they already had someone on their systems with the same christian, middle and surname as me with the same DOB. But she was living in Liverpool and I'm in London. Made me wonder though who she was and what kind of life she had.

  • It can happen!

My son has a very Scottish name but we live in England ,he has been attending the hospital as an in and out patient since he was born on very regular occasions as he has a very rare illness which give him a weird combination of ailments. He was given his pediatric consultant after his 1st stay in hospital at 5 weeks old randomly (there is about 10 consultants at our hospital)

Since early days it has been very confusing as their is another little boy with the same name who was born just 10days earlier than my son (him the 9th my son the 19th) he has the same problems as my son and is under the same consultant and the alternate which week they are at the hospital. We finally saw them in clinic a few weeks ago and bizarrely the both have a brother with the same name who were born 10 days apart and both have sisters the same age...my daughters name is actually their daughters middle name! Plus their Dads are the same age and share the same name (don't worry both dads were there so no double lives lol) and me and the mum are the same age (there is a big age gap between us and the dads)

Finally they both attend differant schools and in the whole of the county they are the only 2 schools to wear a certain colour uniform
  • oh and there are 4 of me and 337 of dh...the comman !!!!!! lol

There's only one of me, I'm the same as the OP - French spelled first name and English surname. A couple of years ago I got an email from someone with exactly the same name from California, she'd googled her name and I came up. As far as I know, we're the only two in the world - no-one else comes up when it's googled.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
