It really annoys me when people hide behind their computers and spill out bitterness and hatred on to the internet. Why do they care what you do? It's your life. If you have the time and persistence to comp, then good on you. We all deserve our wins.

I'm so sorry people have been nasty - I think you've done brilliantly.
People can be so negative - when I am fortunate enough to win something, I get comments about being so lucky - there's nothing stopping anyone else from doing what we all do and entering competitions, and how much time someone puts into it is entirely down to them!
