Well done Liz. If you enjoy doing the competitions, then fair play. I agree that some prizes can be a bit naff, but if you can get use out of them or your friends can, then that's great.
Wow, you must enter absolutely loads of comps to be winning so many prizes! I enter a fair few a week, there's loads of regular ones I do every week. I have only won smallish prizes (you can see what I've won so far, more recently the DSi).
Spreading lots of comping dust!!!!!'Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £10,153.440 -
Liz just gotta say well done on all your wins, I alwasy see your signature and think to myself if you can win so many whats stopping me from winning the same amount? not that im jealous
:D:D:D as you post loads of comps as well and spent a lot of time on the board.
you are an inspiration to me and many others as we keep going as we want to be as lucky as you.....
im sure a lot of people who posted nasty comments on the mail website are just jealous:ABlessed on 18th February 2014 at 0814 with little Sarah xxx0 -
I wouldn't take any notice of the nasty comments - these people don't know you - your friends and family know what you are really like and they are the only people who matter in your life so just ignore the comments there will always be someone out there waiting to rain on someone's parade and it's usually because they have no life and no friends so keep your chin up and keep comping
Don't let them upset you just focus on yourself and your health and enjoying your animals - I was saddened to hear about your kitten as I work for Cats Protection in my spare time and things like this always upset me after years and years - your little kitten will adapt to the loss of his friend just give him your time and love and lots of cuddles
Got to go one of mine is banging on the patio doors to come in for tea - great game rather than use the cat flap!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Liz congrats on the article you seem such a lovely generous person and you deserve all your winnings. I'm so sorry you've experienced some nastiness, I know it's hard but try to rise above it, they're just jealous and hiding behind they're PC's posting stuff they'd never say in real life!
I'm also very sorry about your kitten, my cat was poisoned many years ago (rat poison we think) and it's very distressing ((hug))*** Thank you to everyone that posts ***0 -
There was a little tiny piece about you in the Daily Star
It was saying how you make a living from comping & have won TVs Xboxes etc etc. It was very small but I knew they were referring to you.
I think it's fab, there will always be jealous people when you win things, but they're just ridiculous. Well done on all your fab wins & I hope you have many, many more x

it has really saddened me to see what you are going through Liz - to think - we sit here day in day out doing our comps - jumping from here to facebook - having a bit of a laugh along the way - congratulating each other on our wins - and commiserating sometimes - letting each other know whats been delivered - it really does make my day - but when something like this happens - the mind boggles - how certain people can be so "horrible" is the word that comes to mind.
cant imagine what you are feeling but your quote "but I really wish I hadn't done it now!" put tears in my eyes for you - please dont think like that - head up hon - and heres hoping you win -
get tv company to sponsor you for spending money over there - they can follow you around filming - wouldnt that get up noses of the bad minded people -
come on chuck - give us one of your lovely smiles xxxx0 -

MY big fat cat Biggles, who is so round his belly drags along the ground & looks like a cartoon cat just bangs on the catflap for me to let him in, in fact that's what happened in the middle of the night in August 2004 & I tried to get out of bed to let him in but the feeling in my legs from the knees down went & I ended up slamming my foot down & completely smashing my ankle. I live alone so had to drag myself through the house with my foot hanging down like a hand to get to let the paramedics in, I was in hospital for a month after 6 hours of surgery & spent a few years completely housebound because of it with carers coming in 3 times a day until one of them stole from me so had to get friends to help. Thankfully I managed to get the house & surrounding grounds adapted for my disability thanks to my Deal or no Deal win & then last year got my motability car which selling a few prizes helps me to keep running as they take £50pw out of my DLA.
Alice, my 17 year old cat, is a bit of a pain too as she prefers to go out of the front door rather than the cat flap & just climbs up & rattles the keys in the door until I get fed up & let her out, then she just comes back through the cat flap & does it again, great game.
Anyway better go, hands playing up badly & I'm so behind with my comping at the moment that I haven't been posting the comps in sci-fi-online, cinemas-online or moanaboutmen as I usually do. Received 7 prizes this week though but not had chance to search to see who to thank for them so a general thankyou to all who post xxxPositivity is the key to success0 -
Liz, I have a very good friend who has fibromyalgia and I know how much he suffers, mentally and physically. I think that is is wonderful that you are able to enter so many competitions and well done for winning so many. I hope that you win the trip to NY and have a wonderful time. Don't listen to all the rubbish that is being thrown around, just remember that jealousy is an ugly thing, and that the ones that complain the most about not winning anything are the ones that don't bother entering to start with.0

Liz, since I've been in the land of novel writing, I've not had time to come on MSE properly in months and I know I've already written to you on FB, but I'm so glad to read so many lovely comments of support for you. I am so sad to read about your kitten. Pets are members of the family in my books so I can imagine how heartbreaking that must have been. Keep your chin up, don't let the haters win by getting to you. You're very generous with your comping fairy dust and you deserve your wins. Keep enjoying life. It WILL all blow over soon : ) xx0

Liz I myself suffer with Fibromyalgia and I get the same comments from people "if you can sit on a computer doing competitions then you should be able to sit at a computer in an office" What the fail to realise is that you may be sat at a computer but then a couple of hours later you could be zonked out on the sofa or the bed. I point out to them that would they prefer to work with somebody who phones in work maybe 6-7 times out of two weeks meaning that they would then have to do their work making their job more tiring for them. Some sad people still seem to think that all disabled people should be sat in a care home not talking and slathering. I point out that I am not disabled despite having a car etc for it I say I have a disability that stops me doing what I wish I could.
Keep on the competition trail and it's only jealousy from their mouths.0
