How anyone can deliberately harm an animal is beyond me. But then there are some extremely evil people out there.
Fantastic article about all your wins Liz. Shame about the haters. Sheer jealousy I tell thee!

I am at home due to MS so know how you feel. Yes I can spend some time comping but its between sleeps and fuzzy moments. let alone the pain ect ect.
So I fully understand. (I saved enough money to pay for my tummy tuck from comping and my article in take a break a few years ago from me losing 7 1.2 stone)
good for you

Thanks for your lovely words & well wishes. It's a pity not all MSEers are so nice. The Daily Mail phoned me yesterday & I refused to let them print my story but they've gone ahead & done it anyway so they'll be getting a very nasty complaint as will the nottingham evening post who have obviously sold the story & pictures they took. Subsequent to this post somebody has C&Pd the original post to this thread saying I don't deserve to win the NY comp because I shouldn't have fellow compers voting for me but lots of MSEers are my facebook friends & have voted but also both other entrants enter & win lots of competitions so probably have the same support as I do. Since those nasty comments my lead in the voting has dwindled considerably which I believe is because of these horrible people who don't want me to win, however the voting is not going to dictate the winner as it was not supposed to be a voting comp or I wouldn't have entered & NY Bakery will make the final decision which is the way a winner should be decided & if one of the others wins I shall not be jealous unlike these evil people making these comments but I shall personally congratulate her & wish her well. I cannot believe people are so cruel, one even said that if I was capable of standing all through a television show (which I did not as they provided me with a perching stool & a wheelchair to get around the studio) & also that I was laughing & enjoying myself. Are disabled people not allowed to laugh? Laughter is the best medicine & Noel actually kept commenting about me always smiling & thought I was inspirational that I could smile through the pain but I told him that my philosophy in life is 'if you see someone without a smile give them yours' & that being miserable or angry about your illness & disability doesn't make things better, it just makes things worse. They also said that if I could travel to Kenya I should be able to work which is ridiculous, have they not heard of special assistance at airports & BT who sponsored the comp looked after me so well, providing me with a wheelchair at all locations. It was very painful while I was there but I was carried through the pain with the whole experience. If the MSEer who wrote those nasty comments reads this then shame on you, they should be condemning the people who are poisoning pets not people who try to make the most of what little they have & what little they can do. I'll obviously get slated now for typing such a long response but if they could see my disformed fingers swell as I'm typing maybe they'd understand why I can only do a little at a time & some days not at all. All this stress from the horrible comments together with the stress of what happened to my beautiful Rebel is making my condition worse as it affects my sleep so the exhaustion & pain gets worse so thank you so much to those people for adding to my problems, you know who you are & should be ashamed of yourselvesPositivity is the key to success0
