Was lovely to read your story, I really would just ignore the nasty comments, some people are just awful.

I have an illness and have to take pretty nasty drugs so I know how winning even the smallest things brings that little extra happiness to your days! Well done to you xxoxoxox
  • I'm new to the forums here but just wanted to say Liz and I have become friends recently through our comp club in Nottingham and it's so disappointing to read some of the negative comments on these articles. I've been in the same situation myself with an article in the People. I'm successful with my comping but like Liz I do my best to share enthusiasm, advice and the competitions I find with others, so they can win too - and it hurts when people criticise! You deserve all your success Liz - these lazy critics should try the hobby themselves instead of moaning about you winning all the prizes!

The Daily Mail phoned me yesterday & I refused to let them print my story but they've gone ahead & done it anyway so they'll be getting a very nasty complaint as will the nottingham evening post who have obviously sold the story & pictures they took.

Hi Liz, the credit on the photos is Caters News Agency, which suggests they have bought your story and sold it to the Daily Mail but that is usually done with the person's consent. So it'd be them I'd contact to complain if I were you. If you need me to get you their number send me a PM as I work in the media and I'm pretty sure we've dealt with that agency before. If you want to sell your story to Take a Break and your story is signed up with Caters you'll probably need to go through the agency now. Hope that helps.

Well done on all your wins, and I'm very sorry to hear about your cat.

    Lily x

Really sorry to hear about your kitten, that is so awful! It totally beggars belief that people would do something like that.

Congratulations on the prizes and the story, that is very cool :) Ignore the idiots and keep enjoying the prizes as they come!

Congrats on all the wins :D and sorry about your kittie.

Sorry you're getting a lot of negative comments, they are just nasty jealous people, take no notice of them (i know that's easier said than done)

    Keep On Comping :)

Well done Liz and so sorry about your cat x You were so kind chatting to me on facebook about your Kenya trip and your wins even though we never chatted before and I rarely talk on there or here! My friend has your condition and I know what a devastating impact it can have on your life. She has just been in complete turmoil trying to sort out the new benefit forms because it is near to impossible to explain just how varied and painful the symptons can be AND be believed! Its horrible being judged and I think if those nasty people commenting saw someone they loved feeling so terrible they would rejoice that they found something that actually made their life better! Enjoy your wins and once again so sorry your getting such a hard timexxxxxxx

Aww sorry about your kitten liz.

And wow some of those comments on those boards are really mean. But this is exactly why its best not to tell the world about things like this. Just be happy and enjoy your wins with your friends and family.
