I just received this email from them, after hearing nothing since I ordered:
Dear Sir / Madam
The price shown for the Cuisinart Deluxe Food Processor was a week long
limited promotion to clear back stock due to our suppliers discontinuing
the product. We have now sold our remaining stock, and so we are unable
to procure replacements. Unfortunately due to a clerical error your
credit card has been charged for the rest of the order including any
fees for postage and packaging but you have not been charged for the
Cuisinart Deluxe Food Processors.
Please can you let us know if you wish to continue with your order or
if you would like to cancel your order and you shall be refunded any
charge made.
Didnt they tell someone a completely different story to this? I am going to contact trading standards because there was nothing written on their website regarding short supply etc.0 -
Well I have just got in and checked my email and I have the same mail as orlando. They have taken my money on the 20th of Dec and they took the full amount from my card for the processor and the additional item I ordered but they say in the mail they have only charged me for the additional item plus postage. I am not going to bust balls or anything but I am pretty peeved that they were very very quick to take my money and thus making a contract with me and have been very slow to give me any money back (if they have done it yet at all)0

i've just recieved the same email too.
very unacceptable0 -
I've cancelled. I agree that the company have behaved badly, but you win some, lose some.
If anyone is looking for a cheap food processor, Amazon have a Russell Hobbs one for £20 here
Argos are doing a Breville commercial food processor for around £50, but it's not a Cuisinart. It's here
I think I'm going to get the Amazon one, as it looks a good price for a reasonable sized motor.
Good luck to all the all the people who are going to take this further, and I hope you get something out of it.0 -
Very weird i complained again around 2.30, asked to speak to manager etc cudnt they was busy, BUT WAS STILL OFFERED IT if i wanted to pay £200 more! A very funny out of stock and funny discontinued! but cud be miraculousley made specially for me if i want to spend another £200, i wish they could just tell the truth that they messed up! Then id just cancel but had only one mail from them, only to say we are waiting for goods at the begining! Very Poor company to deal with!0

I got the same e-mail too but will probably reply to it asking for a refund.
If anyone does want to take it further I have a copy of the screenshot which does not mention anything about a special offer.
Hope this helps someone

If this doesn't work pm me and I can e-mail it to you (I saved it in a word document)0 -
If anyone really wants this model of food processor then the best price I can find is £239.99 with free delivery for items over £75 and free waffle finger maker at:
http://www.cookinstyle.co.uk/default.aspx?act=Uprod_C13_S177_P2228&sid=4c0d6a25-d525-45b6-b92e-9ae3512c4af7
I think I will buy the standard model from amazon it is £70 cheaper than anywhere else and I can use my new amazon credit card to get more money off. I think it is £50 which makes it slightly more than the original deal.
Best of luck everyone with your complaint.Just looking to save a few pennies here and there0 -

Isn't it amazing that less than 24 hours after people complaining about poor customer service, communication we all get a generic response from them. Anybody would think they were reading this thread.
I really want this item at the price we agreed in our contract. I will reply to their E-Mail stating this.Never ever pay full price for anything and question everything at least twice!0 -
