ive just got the same old crap, from the call center lol if you can call it that, if they have billed you for the smaller item i suggest you ask them to put a hold on your order untill you write to them using the trading standards guidelines! Other wise it may cost you more money to return the xtra item you have been sent !

    Hi,

I don't think I will get this now, but I also got an email saying that it is not in stock and will never be again.

In that case, why is it advertised at £243.89 on their website?

    http://cookskitchen.co.uk/1001-10708921-B0007P3LDQ-Cuisinart_MP14NU_Food_Processing_System_Cast_Metal_Edition.html

Feel free to use this in your dealings with them. I've already emailed them about this but haven't received any reply.

I think those that have had cards debited stand a better chance of getting this.

BTW, the standard version is available from cookskitchen at exactly the same price as advertised with amazon, I know which one I would choose to buy from.

If you add the MP14NU to your shopping basket, you can check out using amazon. That wasn't available when I ordered it last time.

I've obviously removed it since. I actually want a new food processor but I'm going to shop around for a good deal, the standard model seems fine for me and it has a 10 year guarantee. Anyone who actually got this, well done!! it has a 20 year guarantee and is the dog's whatsits

Surely if they send you anything but the order you agreed to then the goods are unsolicited. In that case they must make arrangements for their return at no cost to you or you'll be allowed to keep them free of charge. Certainly the angle I'll be attacking from if I get any grief.

Nothing on their website to denote it was only a special offer! theve cocked up! and now want us to take the other item i guess.lol.lol But if they have billed your credit card, and they cant keep to there offer , how do you xpect to get a return to sender postage of them! A Bad company to deal with, i for one wont accept any item untill i have it in writing that this was a special offer........then i will cancel....!
  • Apparently, the 'promotion' was for a week only and ran from the 8th - 13th December only.

Sounds like somebody has put the wind up them and they are now clearly trying wriggle out of contracts by using poor excuses.

They did not advertise the "promotion" and were not clear about this when taking orders.
Another poor excuse is saying it's out of stock, they wont be getting stock but still advertising it for sale.
Another poor excuse is saying it is out of stock, they wont be getting stock but then asking people to cough up another 200 quid for the item.

If you got the order confirmation and they have taken your cash then I would take it further.

Where this has happened to me before companies have tried to cancel the order and give a refund...

I inform them that we have a contract, cancelling the order is not acceptable and not to refund the order until they have written agreement from me.

Then I politely but firmly request they supply the good as per the original contract.

When they claim it is out of stock I then request they supply a product of the same or higher specification.

If they still do not honour the contract politely inform them that they have left you no alternative but to take the matter up with Trading Standards.

When they have not responded to that contact TS.

At least you have given them the opportunity to honour the contract!
You could also contact BBCs Watchdog etc..

They aren't replying to e-mails and at the moment I am reluctant to call but fear this could turn sour....any views?

On the evidence "in" this thread I would not enter into conversation with them. It is quite clear to me that they can not be trusted to honour a contract and they are already making up poor excuses.
A conversation would be pointless methinks, meaningless and not worth the paper their contracts and confirmations are printed on?

If you have to contact them write or E-Mail. At least you have a record then?

I'm surprised they have not used the lame "It was a technical fault" excuse yet!

I have heard nothing from them since the confirmation and order being processed e-mithers. I'll wait until next week before I start taking steps to resolve the issue to my satisfaction.

  • My god people.....CHILL!

This isn't the mighty Tescos...but more likely a genuine mistake on the part of a small company setup.

Ok, so it looks like they've got a few 'process' issues, but that's no reason to toast them.

I got an order in early, they've taken my dosh...I'm not losing sleep over it. If I don't get the item, then ok....it's all part of the game.

I'm not about to bust some relatively small company's balls over what was an obvious mistake.

Could we blend them instead of toasting them?

I agree with your "CHILL" philosophy. However, everybody is different and I respect other people's rights to toast them and break their balls (or any other toys).

I don't believe that just because they are not Tesco is justification for poor customer service, misleading people, taking funds when they can not deliver and making up poor excuses? If there are issues then the company should have informed people about them by now and been a little more honest?

I'm CHILLING with me single malt and me free Tesco mince pies until next week. By which time I will need an excercise machine!
