£10 in T yesterday, stuck to my list which was good and got some free fresh yeast to play with. £11 on six packs of coffee from Amazon, and £71 on 20kg of cat food both of which should last three months. Makes my £300 rather challenging, as I spend £17 a week on milk and an F&V box from the milkman. Effectively half my money gone already.
The cash for food debate is interesting. Our Lidl didn't take credit cards last time I asked but I think there is a search bit on their website where you can check.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Evening, ended up sending my mam for mushrooms today so another 89p and noticed tonight that I need more salad so will have to get some tomorrow so no NSD yet.
Not sure about Lid* but I ask only 2 weeks ago in Ald* and they don't take credit cards, I wish they did!
Sorting out a Sainsbug delivery for the £10 off £50 and a Mr A delivery for beginning of next week hoping to last til then with just the extra salad I will be buying tomoro if we can that will be a very cheap first week of the month - Fingers crossedTo get to Disneyland Florida 20160 -
I've cooked with ingredients that I would have thrown away in the past today as well, made a delish risotto from some shriveled tomatoes and some banoffee muffins from a couple of black bananas and some old fudge which has been in the cupboard since xmas! I've eaten two of the muffins already though, however the remainder can go in the other halfs lunch for the rest of the week, and hopefully keep him away from the vending machines in work.
Loving this challange!Working my butt off to buy the house of my dreams!0 -
Thanks to everyone that replied to my problem with the credit card shopping. I'm hoping that by shopping at Alxx and Lxxdl more often, my monthly spend is going to reduce gradually and all the savings will be abl to cover the money borrowed from the savings eventually! I'll let you all know how I get on....:j (I will ask about the credit cards in Lixxl tomorrow but I'm pretty sure they don't take them here in the south. Only debit cards. )

I thought I had joined this challenge already this month, but my post is definitely not here. I wonder which random thread I did post on.
I did try this challenge earlier in the year and did really, really badly but I must get a grip of spending so I'm here for another go. I am really interested to hear all the tips and things that you all do, even the stuff that you all take for granted as obvious.
