Have updated sig with last nights spend of £5.39 on baby wipes,foil,1 lot of the 3 for 1 juice, whoopsied bag of lettuce and some lovely tomatoes and painkillers...a nsd today, need to get nappies tomorrow but will try to just get a few bits that are good in T's as thats my nearest smkt and then get my big shop on Friday in Al*di....
Had a lovely tea after all, fried some smoked bacon (chopped up), onions and garlic, then put in chicken breast then mushrooms, threw a glass of wine in that my Mum had left from last night (and she has gone away for a week so said I could have) and a drop of water, simmered it and then stirred in a touch of cream that I have got in for another meal and served with new potatoes and green beans - dh and all 3 kids loved it (not a cheap meal I know, but I only used 3 chick breasts which were on offer and I love it when I make something that everyone enjoys as its a rare occurence)

TheBees here reporting in after the first shop of the month. :j First I went to Mr Lxxl and spent £78. !!!! It was quite a pleasurable shop in a brand new store. That includes enought pure juice and small cartons for the month, 3 lots of milk at 75p (4 pinters), loads of tins, bacon, shower gels at 35p, dishwasher tablets at £1.67, some cat food to try (and he's eaten a pouch already )and lots of cheap fruit and veg. Best of all I got some orange coloured handwash for 55p which I've used to refill the Pears handwash dispenser and nobody can tell it's not Pears! :rotfl: Unfortunately they don't take credit cards.
Then I went to Mr T where I spent a whopping £104 . This includes enough cat food for the month, 18 toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, lollies for the sunshine, loads of pasta, bread to freeze and other bits and bobs. I've got enough food for meals up to the 17th of this month so fingers crossed we can stick to it!
Good luck everyone....:TMortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000

I had to venture out to the shops yesterday for fresh fruit & veg, bread, cooked meat and other stuff for my packed lunches. So that is 2 NS days and £24.10 gone for this month already.
I did fish out some pork loin out of the freezer for dinner tonight and used up an old tin of potatos turned into potato salad. No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380 -
I have shopped a Lidl and Coop and already spent £100. I do have my brothers children staying and my dad this week, so the total is much less than I would normally have spent but there are a lot of days left in August and I have already spent 1/5 of the budget.
I am really going to have to do better next week, the thing is I will have DH's parents staying and, well, I will feel the need to try and impress my Mother-In-Law."Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence."Weight loss challenge:j: week 1~ Napoleon Bonaparte

August will go from the 1st until the 31st of August and our budget is £60. This is for my partner, me and 2 chinchillas.
We have so far spent £42.85 . However we have loads of food in now and bulk cooking is on the menu! Other than the fact my partner will need milk again sometime next week and we will need a few more tins of tomatoes we should be good for 3 weeks I'd say.
We think the chinchillas have enough food for the rest of the month but I think we will need to buy them hay.
Budget is low because we need to defrost the freezer! Seriously it is covered in ice which is taking space from us that we could put to good use. So as you can guess most of the food is coming from the freezer.
Meals have been planned out for the whole month.

I now have £263.30 left to last the month as I spent Another £2.02 in Mr A's last night.
Glad I went in though- I was picking DD1 &DD2 from cinema and was a bit early so popped into Mr A's as it was right next to cinema to get a school shirt for DD2.
Got 4 packs of mince 500g for 5p each there was loads but didn't want to take any more and a big pack of prawns for 5p. I also got the cooking oil for 72p. I was well chuffed as I've heard people getting these type of bargains but I've never had any. :T0 -
I keep forgetting to make a note of what I've spent - Grrrrrrrrrr
I know I went to MrS the other day but I can't find the receipt and as it was cash I can't check the bank statement. So I'll guess at £25, DH id off to Lidl this morning so I'll update siggy when I have his receipt

NSD today. Yesterday had a lovely day out with OH walking then a cheeky wee drink sitting in a pub garden in the sunshine so didn't feel like cooking when got in. Bought dips, tortilla chips, olives and milk yesterday spending £3.74. MUST stop spending as I'll never keep on budget:o. Leftover carrot and thyme rissotto for lunches but not sure what to make for dinner:p...probably salad as we have plenty in to use up or a pasta bake. Need to batch cook some meals for next week but will do that tomorrow I think.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
