My husband ordered one of the T shirts for our son and of course it never arrived and the money was never debited from his account in common with lots of other people.

I saw this thread a couple of days ago and got him to cancel his card and order a new one from the bank. The bank were not that willing at first but eventually recorded his card as having been stolen.

Just in time it seems as having checked his bank statement online today he found that yesterday someone tried to use his card details to order £400+ worth of goods from Argos. The payment showed as having been debited but was then refunded on the same day. It was obviously picked up by the bank.

I would advise anyone who has not yet told their bank to cancel their card to do so. My husband's new card took just two days to arrive.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. It certainly helped me to 'put things right'.

i've just cancelled mine now as this is enough proof for me because my bank initially told me to keep an eye on it but i think they thought i meant if the transactions were through extremetshirts and not through another site like argos and now i have cancelled it to be safe.

I think Argos have cottoned on to the fact that this person is up to no good. When I called them the order was already flagged. He also tried another order with the card again the following day and the order was cancelled and refunded by them. I would assume he may be using the same delivery address.
I hope he is sitting there wondering where all his playstations have got to! Just as some people from here are possibly sitting wondering where there T-shirt has got to.

I googled that address last night... the postcode & address don't match!

It's the same name used to set up the previous scam by this person
Do I still need to cancel my card? I checked my account and the £1.95 hasn't been taken from my account. I'm not normally taken in by scams. That'll teach me!

If you read the last 2 pages of the topic you'll see the need to cancel your cards. It seems to have been a scam to get card details rather that lots of £1.95's.
