I couldn't resist doing the calculations yesterday and if my maths is correct, I have hit my target
Still have to keep potting though, every penny counts. £1 going in today because I've had a NSD and I like to reward myself by adding something into the pot *clunk*.
Thank you competition posters!

Hi everyone -
DH found 6p on the road while out running this morning!!!
I really want to know how much we have in the change jar as it's going to be used to pay for part of a holiday for August next year. :jWe don't really want to count it until December 1st because we want a surprise so are guestimating there could be a couple of hundred in there by December hopefully. The balance has to be paid in April so I'm desperately trying to work out how much to save from our wages each month, at the same time as using our £2, £1 and loose change savings to pay for it. If we could manage £1 a day, then that would be nearly £150 by April but £1 a day is a tall order seeing as we don't always spend everyday.
Anyway, good luck everyone.Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000

Ah, I've been informed by The Management
that banking my stash doesn't mean I have to leave so ....
I'm rejoining & off to a good start with the £16 I couldn't bank.
Sparky - that was a fantastic post & so much of it rang true for me :
Staying out all summer with all the other children in the area, swimming in the river, climbing trees & our greatest fear was getting caught doing something naughty like climbing to the top of the cricket screens & the greenkeeper threatening to march us home to our parents .
I remember days out to the coast with my mum, auntie & brother & sister in my auntie's car. She had an MG midget :rotfl:.
Happy, carefree days0 -

Hello lovely potting people, I hope everyone had a really lovely weekend.debtfreeby30 wrote: »I am a really horrible saver, always seem to break into it early and have opened and closed more savings accounts than I can count, but I really feel a lot more positive this time.
That was the you of days gone by, debtfreeby30, you're into a whole new MSE stage now and have reached fnancial maturity and that's why you've sought out savings challenges. So long as you've made sure your pot/potsare sealed properly then put a regular sum in and consider it a weekly payment, a normal bill. Let's face it, we can't retrieve the money we've spent on bills! So why not try this..then before you know it you'll be a committed saver.
We have a habit of converting folk here...you're in line next!!!
Well done on the car boot cash, robed, where there's a will.........
You'll soon settle back to work, mumof3plusoh. Great news about your lad!!! :staradmin How wonderful of your DH & DD1, life is good, especially when it's our loved ones that make it that way. :heart2:
Well done you, Decluttering! Just keep right on potting away and you'll be chuffed to bits soon!
You and me are in the same boat, TheBees, but I try to take out the £1 a day once a week (where possible). Do the best you can, that all anyone can ask.
Well done Lula, that's made my day! :j
You might never have saved before, Kirsty, but you're doing so now so....no hanging of the head as you're doing yoursel...and the family PROUD!!!Try and have a word with the coach co like you hoped, it could be much easier.
Always good to see you, Kerry.
£5.71 left over from shopping today.

£1.24 into the pot today.
Went to visit my Dad yesterday who presented me with a Terramundi. I am going to use it next year to save up my £2 coins in, and use my Mr Bump tin for everything else.
Hope everyone is okay. Its my DS's 1st day at school tomorrow . Time has flown by and I just hope he gets on okay.Pay off all my debts before Christmas 2015 #165.0 -
