Of course you can, mummytogirls. Do what your happiest with, the main thing is, that you're saving!

All the best with it, your hubby's Birthday too. _party_

About 20p has gone in this week so far :) Still really pleased about hitting my target, whatever's extra will stay in for the next year I think.
Savings £8,865.22 £/15,000 Aiming to save enough for a house deposit.
  • 5p found in the railway station this morning, my eyes were bleary but eagle-like when I saw it lying there (it was a shiny one too). Also got the leftover change from the week to put in, I think it's about £4 :)
    Thank you competition posters!
  • No loose change for me to put in the pot today, but I used a £3 clubcard voucher when I was shopping, and as this was money that I would have spent anyway, I put the £3 I saved into the pot.
    2nd Purse #036 £46.69/£50.00 :) 3rd Purse £30.02
  • OH found 5p that must have fell out of the washing when he was getting it in. He was about to claim it when I said if any money is found then it goes in the pot!;)
I think I have a problem now. I am addicted to this site!!!!:D

Can't believe how exciting saving money is.

I have made a budget that I haven't done in year and am checking what I spend daily. The way I am going should be able to clear my OD by Nov:beer:
In just 4 days managed to save £16.05. If I can smash my £150 target will help with Christmas this year.

My only regret is that I haven't joined on here before now.

Thanks for the support I have had from everyone, you are such a friendly bunch. Have a great weekend. :T:T:T:T:T

    Hi all!!!
Back from Canada and finally seem to be over the jetlag-well thought I was but I'm sat on here at 2.30 am so something isn't right!LOL!!
Anyhow found a few cents whilst away and 2p the other day so a grand total of 14p added to the disney pot!! DD's back at school on monday so hopefully that walk past the shop will net me some more roadkill-guess where I found the tuppence!!
The online (bank account) disney pot gets £20 SO a month but when I shopped around I got my house insurance over £40 less than I'd saved for it (and over £80 less than I was origionally quoted!!), so I put the £40.97 into the online disney pot so thats just over £100 now. Looks like I have around £40 in the real sealed pot so nearly 3% of my £5000 target-if I've worked that out right!!!
Better try and get some more sleep!
Helen. Single mum to DD(7) and 2 siamese cats. Trying to decrease my debt and spending and increase my savings and lose weight-30lbs so far!
