Update on my potting news - not much happening except for the grand sum of £1.04 potted over the last couple of days. Actually had 2 x £2 coins in my change during the week but I had to hand them over in a shop cos the lady wouldn't let me have my stuff without them (some people don't understand the rules about £2 coins do they). I think all you lot must get them cos its once in a blue moon that I get them
Well done robedha on your loss and on your staying the same footie under the cicumstancesWell I had a 2.5lb loss this week but considering I gained 2lbs previous week maybe isn't as good as it sounds - at least the damage has been undone. Have eased off a little over the long weekend - but whatever happens happens. I am still going to gym over the hols - in fact I was there just after 7.30 this morning (yes on a Sunday too):p

Who knew this saving lark was so easy? Should have done it years ago!
Terrific news robed!!!!! It is sooooo good to see posts that show folk really are saving hard - finding it such fun too!
Don't fret about your £10er, Decluttering, it'll be safe as houses in there with the cash! It won't be just you laughing at your paranoia on the 1st of December!
Hi there, TMD, lovely to see you. I've updated your Target to the £200 you wanted, all the best in getting to or beating it.
Hi blue_eyed_girl and well done on the gym enthusiasm! The .5 loss is still a loss, you should still be happy with it. Darn shopkeepers, they just don't understand us. Still, tough on them not being members quite obviously!!
Good for you both, DorsetGirl and bargainlover!
A lovely day here, bit of a fresh start when DH & I were in the fields with our young hound.....and she was soaking from the long grass.
Enjoy the day folks.
Sue x

Here's a strange question I hope someone can help with - I've been doing this challenge all year saving for my MOT which is due fairly soon. My money's saved in a sealed tin can money bank and I thought it would be as simple as using a tin opener to get the cash out but the tin opener doesn't seem to fit! Has anyone else come across this? The lip at the top and bottom of the tin are too big so the tin opener can't puncture the tin to take the lid off. I now have my cash in a tin and wouldn't mind getting it out but can't
Any ideas?0 -
Hi susie-sue, what a dilemma! I've never heard of any member incurring similar problems.
D'you know anyone who's got a hacksaw?? My hubby's here and that's what he's suggested.
If you haven't got an OH or Dad with one, then ask a lovely neighbour.
Please let us know how you go...and all the very best!!!

Thanks Sue, I attacked it with a kitchen knife yesterday with no joy (knife's probably too blunt),,,I may be able to stab it with a screwdriver  or find one of those old fashioned tin openers that you sort of hack into the can with a sharp edge??? I was kinda hoping someone else on here had one of those tins and knew what to do with it! I guess I'm the first to crack! Ah well, at least I should have the answers by December when everyone else tries to open theirs0

Hi everyone
Hope you have all enjoyed the bank holiday.
Went to fat club and gained 1/2lbnot too upset though as it been a tough week with work and not been completely focused.Tomorrow is another day...on the plus side gained £2.62 for helping out so 62p for Rosie and x 1 £2 coin for the hols pot..and an additional 22p for Rosie too. I was treated to lunch by my lovely friend for no apparent reason other than she wanted to bless her :A
Sorry Sue thats me all over the place again after the long week at work...I will get there, but your quite right need to get mine in first before jakes-mum :rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: And footie you're very safe with your cruise, I hate boats!! ever since I sailed to france with my parents as a child in gale force winds and thought a pint of chocolate milk before hand was a really good idea!! The result wasnt pretty
Oh dear not a lot to say to that jakes-mum as for me I had a mini cruise a few years back and it wasnt too bad, just hope the sea stays calm as this one is for 12 days  and leave the C word alone at least until I get back so you have to wait until mid October...Sue is going to be after you, you minx :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
