My pot is completely sealed - if it were easy to borrow money from it, I'd be doing it all the time. I can't properly see what's in there either, so less temptation. :)

Really looking forward to opening it. :D

To be fair, I am really good at not dipping into it. I am trying to get into the routine of trusting myself around money and not having to spend everything I have. I was a bit of an emergency yesterday!!!!:D

Snowblower? That's so old hat! Hubby has progressed to a quad with a plough on the front :rotfl:, and now he gets paid to clear the street to our house :T , so extra pennies for us :T:T.

Course it is, forgot that cos he had it last year too didn't he. Oh well, brain's fuzzing over with all the excitement here. You keep in touch more in future, Kerf - ya hear? It's been too long this time AGAIN!!!

Good for you, scuba. Never stop.

Is it bad to say that we have £1000 kitty for alcohol for 12 people for our night out next week, I think a soar head will be in action the next day!!

WOW! I initially thought that's some serious spends, but DH just reminded me that with the cost of booze now, it isn't exactly a major amount, especially IF you have food; though you're welcome to what it all leaves you with next day! :wall: Ah, in general though you seem as though you have your head screwed on well and good for you redbull, and sorry for that awful ageist mistake! ;)

Very good indeed, prepareathome, a step closer to Australia! ;)

To answer your question, recurrent-osterich, it really is up to you, but why not try 1 first (I did to start with) and pop it all in there. If friends family hear you're serious they may well give you some as gifts like mine. Re having a £2 pot, you can still do that ~ BUT ~ have an entirely separate pot to keep for "household needs" so that you CAN use it without any need to dip in for spends. Though IF your pot is SEALED how can you be taking from it??? Mmmm!

Flippin heck, how right you are, peaceandfreedom!!!! Things are going a LOT faster than I'm ready for at the MO! :(

I never doubted you for a moment, e4rub....though I would have shouted at you IF I'd thought you wouldn't have done, either that or there's always the naughty bench! :naughty: We've had a few at once on that before now which is why it progressed from the step! * Just saw your latest post e4, why not have a separate pot for household spends, then put what's left into the sealed one!

Nowt for me again, but anther NS day so 2 ways of looking at it - and I can't always be perfect.

    So, including today folks it's..........
