LC 2 You obviously haven't heard me play any musical instrument, that's almost as bad as me trying to sing, the heavens would open up in a deluge if I tried

13 weeks until we go back to New York, can't wait

Yeah, can't wait either...just when we're really in the thick of winter :( Seriously sparky, it'll be marvellous for you both to look ahead to, well deserved too, a lot like a Christmas pressie really! :grinheart

Your voice alongside T's would bring a whole new meaning to "The Choir", especially military wise...they'd be shooting you both!!!! :rotfl:Sorry about the Fwd, I had it ready for you then saw the e-mail I had almost sorted out (the names/nos I've now sent you) and it went completely out of my mind. All go eh sparks!

Oh no! So sorry Kerfuffle, I hadn't given a thought to you in Canada! Pretty neat though he! :rotfl: You've had your first snow haven't you? Get the snowblower ready for DH, Kerf!

I'm so chuffed to see a 19 yr old so keen in saving, brilliant redbull, keep saving throughout life, it makes it so much easier.

Oh very good, jakes-mum! You can do shopping for DH & I too if you like, not that we have the frijj, can't afford em, but you can! :rotfl:

Ahh now Sue-UU they only got them cos they were on Buy 1 get 2 free, so 40p each (just a tiny treat for them :D) if it had been any more expensive it would have been NOOOOOOOOOO. Though actually DS and DD both gave me 20p toward their bottles so I actually only spent 80p for 3 bottles :rotfl:

  • My good deed of the day was lightening the weight of my mum's handbag by taking all the coppers out of the bottom of it (she's the only person I know to throw her change in her bag instead of putting it somewhere sensible). Her bag is now 16p lighter and I had to persuede the 2p's that there was enough room in there for them :) This time next week I'll be counting up all the change and cursing the fact that I never actually got any bags from the bank :rotfl:

Snowblower? That's so old hat! Hubby has progressed to a quad with a plough on the front :rotfl:, and now he gets paid to clear the street to our house :T , so extra pennies for us :T:T.

Yep, we've had some snow already and I thought "hey up!" (that's the Yorkshire in me ;)) "this'll be it to at least the end of March", but yesterday was a warm spell and it's pretty much all gone. Every day without snow is a bonus at this time of year eh! :rotfl:

Just got home from the pub, couple of drinks with a friend and a mystery shop, but found a wee silver one under our tableso popped it in to the bottle ready for opening day.

Sue thanks very much, im really into it as I have just experienced all my mates going off to uni and 6 months later some of them are in over 3k worth of debt already.. I'm doing it whilst enjoying myself and still having a great social life. I allow myself 1 massive alcoholic night out a month so I save my money up for it and spend a fortune. Get bluttered, but with money saving I think you need to let off some steam. Just want to get settled etc. Getting a 2.5k pay rise in march too hopefully !

Is it bad to say that we have £1000 kitty for alcohol for 12 people for our night out next week, I think a soar head will be in action the next day!!

    Oh and .... I'm 18

Night all, very long message on my new iPhone, very non Money Saving. But oh well

  • Just working out how I'm going to work my pot(s). Is it better to just have one pot, or one for coppers and anoher one for £1 and £2's? Am concerned that a £2 pot will be too much of a temptation when I'm in need of chocolate and can't get to the cashpoint! :rotfl:
