It's never too late to join us, klfairy. A warm welcome aboard and have fun saving. :D You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly how the challenge works. NB. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much. NB. Pots are emptied on 1st December 2011, thank you.

    klfairy
, actually I've given you number 1425 it's of a member who PM'd me earlier after deciding to pull out. No worries here about being late either as it's never too late to join us, we're a [STRIKE]mad bunch[/STRIKE] lively lot, but in the best way.

Aww, bless your little lad, Cherry, he's growing up the MSE way for sure. :money:

You're welcome, curly, it's working fine so very well done on adding another arrow to your bow! :)
Hi Sue. I have noticed a busker playing his guitar in town do you think it's Sparky?

It all depends on his instrument, LC2, if you're sure it was a guitar then not so sure, if it was the violin twas sparky on the fiddle for certain!!! :rotfl: Good to hear you're enjoying your new home.

I'm not going to be opening mine on 1st December or banking it... Is that ok? I can add to the total though, as I'm counting mine as I go along!!

Whatever you're happiest with, Ellie, you're welcome to add it to this year's Total if you like, just be sure to deduct it from next years!

Oh very well done, Susi_Wa, it's always good to to have to pay out bus/train fares - even better to pot it instead!! :j
Hiya Kerfuffle, and congratulations on your savings!!! :T I know you're not too pleased with your £98.66, but it's still far better than if you'd not saved it, a shame it has to go to your Mum & Dad, but at least they too were there when you needed it!! ;) Brilliant savings, Kerf and GOOD to see you, if only for a brief while!!! :)

Question for those of us who only started this challenge two months ago or less.......

Are you going to open on the 1st December and use what you have on say, Xmas shopping or are you going to continue until next year?

It was my intention to continue but today I had my first thought to actually open it and start all over on 1st Jan.

Bublin, you do exactly what YOU want to do, though I reckon after seeing your post you'll be declaring yours and starting again on the 2nd December! :grinheartBe happy and go for it...why not?!! BTW, it is the 2nd December that we start again, not long for that either!

It's so good to hear how happy you are at having joined us, mumof3plusoh, it's a really happy place to be, or am I biased. ;)

    Very good, redbull.

Another £3.12p after physio and a bit of shopping yesterday. Like sparky and many of you, I truly can't believe just how quickly this year has passed either, tell you what though, we'll all be saying exactly the same again next year!!!

Well everyone, it's speeding up now and there are only 7 days left !!!

Hey everyone! Not been as active this year as I had hoped I would be but I can't believe it's almost time to total everything up! This year has gone so quickly, doesn't seem 5 minutes ago it was Christmas last year and I was freaking out about paying for everything! This year I have all my presents except 1! Hope everyone is doing ok and can't wait to start SP5 with you all soon!

  • Hi All, Can I join for 2012 please? Recent addition to site, trying hard to save money to pay off our hideous debts (see sig) so would like to save loose change up towards a holiday in 2013 (which sounds like a very, very long way away!)

Hiya Ruby, it's really great to see you back! You're right about the time, there are less than 365 days in a year now surely. :undecided Lucky you having only 1 present left to get, we've still got a few to get and 1 that's causing BIG problems and HAS to go off overseas quick! :(

Seeing as there's barely a week until 1st December, I'm just going to get a head start on you all for December 2012, I think. I have a terramundi lurking away on a shelf I can't reach, so I think it's time to dust it down and put some money in it.

That's exactly what I'd do if I were you, klfairy. Have a look on the 1st post of page 1 for instructions re Terramundi, just don't smash it next December (or any other time), I've been using mine for 3 years now and it's fine!

    Hi Sue-UU
I have decided to exercise will-power and not open it.
    I'm continuing until next year.
I actually know exactly how much is in there. I have a tally on the side of my £2 coin/notes tin (£51, started mid-October).
On 1st December 2011 i will post my total but will not open it and then minus that amount from December 2012 total.
I think thats a good deal with myself :money:
