[Qute=Kerfuffle]Hey Sue-UU, your brain cells are sparking magnificently, I can see them from here, no fuzzing whatsoever. And what do you mean "AGAIN!!!" :A[/quote]

I mean AGAIN because I thought you were never coming back last year...PM or 2 come to mind??? Family stick together, well often as possible. Feeling awful are you? That's alright then. :p

Tis good to see you back though..and more often would be good. You make sure you have a brilliant Christmas with your snow...and us possibly not having any!

Good for you, Ellie! Very wise. ;) Save well.

  • Hi, can I sign up please, I've had a big sweetie jar I've been filling with change since April just didn't know about all you lot. I'm hoping for about £50, as I only put change up to 20p in there so I'm less likely to cheat. :o
I promise to seal it next time!

Potted 22p tonight. Had a hectic day ~ got a bonus at work for being in the top 500 sellers in the company. I have not had a bonus before and don't know if I will have one again! We have been in our house for 6 years and not really done anything but paint it, so we decided that as I have worked really hard this year, we would spend the bonus on the house and not the debts.
Therefore, I have new kitchen worktops and a fantastic breakfast bar!!!!!!!!
I must admit though, I am feeling a bit sick in the stomach that we didn't pay this money off the debts

    Hi e4rub,

If you need support getting over buyer's remorse why don't you have a look at the Pay All Your Debts off by Xmas 2012 challenge (on the Debt Free Wannabee forum), we don't mind the odd slip up, we're all in the same boat and just trying to encourage each other.

I see in your siggy you're aiming for 2017, it's still ok to join :) I'll be there way after 2012 :o

dont feel bad e4.. im in the same situation and sometimes the house just needs doing.. i mean with cutting back and not spending out so much you atleast want to sit at home in a nice atmosphere xx i have a whole re-wire to do next year which is going to set us back £4000.00 but until its done we cant decorate even one room as it would be a waste and the electrics are dangerous.. im not having my kids in horrible rooms any longer. So im with you on the house thing xx

Thanks guys xx It does feel good to treat ourselves. The thing that justifies it for me is that it is the first big thing that we have bought that we have actually paid outright for and not put on a credit card or took a loan out. Yes, I suppose I feel like it has been a little bit indulgent, but it is a massive milestone for us and each time I walk into the kitchen it reminds me that if you want something you have to work for it and not just bung it on the plastic!!!!:j:j:j
