    Just a thought, but in some ways in 20 years time I can't imagine us being ready to tackle a SPC 25, but on tother had...I can't see us not doing so! Where's that *confused* smilie when you need it!

    (:undecided I am normal an I'm sane, I know I am, I am sane I am) *cough*

    This place seems to be slightly loopy today, best remove myself before I catch whatever it is. That's 'cos it's the weekend!!

    I really hope we are all around and doing the SPC25, although rather than paying debts (some us), we'll be putting the loose 50.00 note in the pot :T I know wishful thinking :rotfl:

    Am I allowed to declare a total yet Sue? I wont be spending anything cash wise before the 1st so I won't be adding to the pot.

    A very warm welcome missladyannie, it's lovely to have you with us. biggrin.gif Have great fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3 of page 1. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. Please pop your number on your sig, it helps so very much

    Hi ruby_eskimo, if you need to then you can declare early, if not then it would be good if you'd hang on, only you know the answer to that Ruby, but if you wish, then please do so.

    Well done you, e4rub.

    Another (possibly the last) £2 in the pot today.

    Hi everyone - please could every body kindly pop their numbers on their signatures, it's so much easier for sparky when he adds the amounts up to get the Grand Total, so much easier for me too in general. Please folks, do take note.

    For anyone who's not sure how it's done: Go to the "UserCP", top left on the green bar; click there, then click the "Update Signature" on the left and pop your numbers on and save changes.

    Thank you very much indeed.

  • Well another few pounds in change in the pot, sorry had put a fair bit in before I realised I had not counted it and even though the pot has a counter I don' know what the amount was before, also another £8 coins in the pound box, so pleased with that. I am slowly changing how I deal with money - used to draw out every penny and spend it after paying what bills I could on-line. Now I take out what I want to spend so never have notes on me and as only go out to where there is cash machines once or twice a week at most, If we need something from shops hubby usually takes the money out and buys it on way home unless its a day I feel I can go out or I must get out pain or no pain. If I suddenly feel up to going to newsagent to collect my knitting magazines I take the money out of the pound box, but at least now putting more in than taking out. :) Still never anything left in bank at end of week, but at least I am saving now and not missing it and determined to keep it that way.

    I know I started my pot in October before joining but will give you full total as not kept separate account as all in same pot and then continue on till end of next year. its funny I never seem to see any £2 coins, not had one for many, many months.
    Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

    Very well done indeed, prepareathome! :T Don't worry about counting it to the exact penny or pound, if you remember then fair enough but it's not part of the challenge to have to say exactly what the amount is. The only thing I believe it helps do is to encourage both you and everyone else;

    even I so often think "ooh, I really saved THAT much!" after I've written it here and it really excites me! Mind you, I'm a bit of a kid at heart! :j Please, by all means add ALL your savings to your total on Thursday...another very exciting time! You're doing so well now and have so much to be really proud of!!! All best wishes, prepareathome!
