"Sealed Pot Challenge 4" ~ Part 2 ~

1. If you are walking with someone and you see small-fry roadkill, do you pick it up anyway or do just walk on by and dream about it....:o?
2. Last night i put my transparent coppers/5p jar in a prominent place in my house (ie visitors can't help but see it). Well, my brother stopped by and saw it and emptied his wallet into it saying he 'can't be arsed' with all the change :j. To be more precise my dd had fun putting all the coins into the slot.
1. Grabbit! Once you get used to the idea of just picking it up the perceived embarrassment goes away, After all someone else didn't want it so why shouldn't you have it instead? That said apparently I drive my OH mad when we're out together as I'm always looking at the floor not where I'm going.
2. Glad DD enjoyed herself getting her started early has got to be a good thing! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I know what you mean mumof3plusoh. It is great on here and it has inspired me to save. My amounts are small but to me they are a massive achievement. A penny in the pot is a penny extra for me!!! I hope that I continue over the coming years.:jDebt Free Date 1st August 2016 Sealed Pot Challenge #140

2 x £2 coins into the pot today as the 99p shop and wilkinsons both thought I needed one (and hw right they were!!) and 14p in shrapnel
oooo its such a heavy pot
Annnnnnd I now have my new tin ready for the 2nd Dec which is twice as fat as this years ones and I have told DH that it must be full to the brim with £1 coins by next 1st Dec as he will be getting his contract at christmas so will be on lots more money
Ive also just paid £6 for a tea flask for him so he will no longer have to take £1 a day to work for teaso I think on work days that £1 should go in the new tin too :j :j

Hello everyone
My usual £2 plus a lot of smaller change into the sealed pot, 50p into the Chicago & New York spending fund pot. Ihave my new pot ready for SPC5 on the 2nd December it's another one from B&M's that you8 need a tin opener to get into. It's the same as this year's pot which is almost full to the top.
On the question of road change when you're out with someone, just push them out of the way first, so you can get to it before they do :rotfl:, 1p tea room floor change on the way into work for me.
I've also been keeping a secret, I've tried putting £1 a day away for almost a year now and counted it today I have £358 saved in that pot! :T So with the 2 lots of £2 & 50p coins banked so far this year I will be declaring £1365.00 plus whatever is in the sealed pot as my total for this year. :j. Hopefully the sealed pot will have more than I saved last year (See signature)
Have a great day everyone, stay safe & keep savingSparky0107 - Sealed pot challenge member #002. Total for SPC3 £1,030.57 Total For SPC 4 £2247.00 Total for SPC 5 £2574.62 :T Total for SPC 6 £4552.91:T

VERY well done, e4rub!!!!! :T Cosidering how long you've been
Saving, you really should be pleased with yourself. BTW, I'll pop the new Target on the new thread, I've written I down already.
You're welcome Cherryjack and thanks a lot for sorting your No on your signature.
Hi there curly, good to see you! By the way, you've done pretty well already with what you have on your sig. Keep it up though and you'll soon be rich.:D1. If you are walking with someone and you see small-fry roadkill, do you pick it up anyway or do just walk on by and dream about it....:o?
Oh dear Bublin, you have so much to learn as it's an absolute SPC sin NOT to pick it up!! As scuba points out, you'll soon get passed any embarrassment after you've picked a few up. Put it this way...why leave it for someone else to benefit from when it's thrown by the Angel's......for YOU!!! :AAlso, it's amazing, if you're fortunate, just how much you can save via the pavements, outside shops, car parks and kiddies playgrounds! Our sparky does the rounds of the lot when he's not doing over-time! If you live in the Liverpool area, you've had it - or rather sparky has!!! :rotfl:
I'm not saying he grabs every little bit, but he does wear.....magnets on the souls of his shoes! :rotfl::rotfl:
Are you moving again then, scuba? What's up - not enough roadkill there!
Brilliant Lost, by the way, where've you been? Don't say you lived up to your name?! :grinheart
"walk away from the pot" indeed, mumof3plusoh!!!! What's think it is - 1st December????? Think of it as a ticking time bomb and keep well away and never approach again til the right day!!!
Yep, won't be long now, jakes-mum, hands off til then or your excitement will all be gone.
Splendid news on your £358 after saving a £1 a day, sparky!!! :T I'll be so very interested in seeing your Total this year. Surprising what you can do when you try.
Very well done on keeping stashing the cash everyone, don't stop yet though as it's amazing what you can still go on saving even if in only a little while.
Another £2 in the pot for me today.
Have a lovely evening everyone and a great day tomorrow.
Sue x

The woman was counting a heap of five and ten pence coins out on the kitchen table when she suddenly got very angry and started shouting and crying for no reason. I thought to myself, "She's going through the change."
Be very careful ladies of the SPC :grinheart

It was a lovely service.~~~~~~~~~~An Asian fellow has moved in next door. He has travelled the world, swum with sharks, wrestled bears and climbed the highest mountain.
