I feel sorry for those people who received codes but cannot use them. I hope that this is sorted. I was one of those people who applied and used one code. However, it is annoying me that some people seem to think that the were entitled to it more than others because they were buying nappies, essentials etc. It was up to each individual how they spent the code whether it was on wine, copious amounts of chocolate or bottles of bleach.

    Just got email. :(

    Ocado Apology

"Ocado were only able to offer a limited number of these vouchers. Due to the success of the offer and the widespread distribution of the offer on other forums, this number was exceeded on the first day, rather than on 30th June as originally anticipated. As such, no new redemptions of the voucher can be accepted after 23rd June. Other acquisition offers are available and will be available in the future. Sorry for any disappointment this may cause."

Team Crowdity would also like to echo Ocados appology. We are all deeply upset about the whole situation and can't explain to you how sorry we are.

    Sincere Apologies

for some who registered at the beginning of the offer the code was also shown instantly - i know i got mine instantly on screen and i registered in the early hours of the morning...... it seems it then changed as even i could not access it a couple of hours later..... so i feel that was the start of the problems as that would have been the likely source of the "leaks"... but those who got the code shown to them instantly and used it are not necessarily those who "spoilt it" as they were given the code straight away so used it?

i would say the spoiling it part was its release into the public domain by some, the lack of unique coding, the fact someone in Ocado did not contact Crowdity during the day and pull the offer then when it got to a certain amount instead of waiting until 30,000 people had been given the code after midnight and THEN panicing.... and i also wonder about the niavity of those who agreed for the offer to be published by Martin? (no offence to martin btw) It is well known if MSErs hear about such an offer it will be EXTREMELY popular.....

I for one will use Ocado again ..... not every week as im on a limited budget but the fresh produce is far superior to that of Tesco so when money allows i will use Ocado. My mum didnt get to use her code.. which is a shame as she was a genuine Crowdity customer.
