Not surprised if you're happy to resort to childish names.

I suppose it's always their fault as well.

    Thank you!

I have enjoyed my life and don't think it has been wasted.
Throwing benefits around. The only benefits I currently receive (did receive ESA) are WTC's of £53 & DLA Low mobility of £19. Not a great deal when you consider that in total we actually have lived, brought up our children and currently live on about £262 a week.

We pay full rent and full council tax which accounts for just under half. Gas & electricity accounts for another £23, food etc £55, water £10, insurance £10. This leaves us about £42. Then you have bus fares, clothes, Christmas & Birthday presents. As you see we just about break even. Been like that all of our lives struggling from year to year. Never being able to have a break or a holiday. (Last one was to a camp site in Somerset 7 years ago for a week and it rained every day!)
When we get to pension age currently I would get about £98 and the wife about £30 (she hasn't worked for nearly 24 years). We would then have to get pension credit to bring our income up to £200, which will be a huge reduction in what we get now!

So where do you get the idea that we have been swamped with benefits?
i think that most of us on here have struggled year to year and probably not been able to afford a holiday. Its the story of most peoples lives.:)

My opinion? Drug addicts (and alcoholics) are victims of society.

If they have needs, yes they should get everything and anything that they are entitled to.
Whether they claim it is another thing.

Should they get a car? Why not? I was only moaning about the cars being abused.
And the fact that the rules of usage aren't tight enough.

Would I want a 'free car'? Not really to be honest - I couldn't afford to run a car.

It just bugs me to see that those that do get a 'free' car, see it as a right.
as i have said before. the car is NOT FREE !

its not free because the person has to pay monthly for it out of their disability money. They are simply not given a free car. Money is paid to motobility operations for the car. Please can you stop saying that it is free

That makes me happy then - at least I am not on my own then.

And that says it all, you're happy if other people have a hard time too. If you made nothing of your life that is your own doing, to be happy that others have little money just shows petty spite.
