Credit card fraud sounds like something that should be difficult to do. Unfortunately, it's not. But thank God, I am not a victim of it yet..

Why can't we mark one post as spam? When I try to report the post a stupid box pops up asking me to use a mail client. I don't use those companies for mail.
Had to report the entire thread as spam. Also, insert image doesn't apear to work.0 -

What program/service do you use for email?Had to report the entire thread as spam. Also, insert image doesn't apear to work.Works here; using plain editor mode and the insert image button which pops up a dialog pre-filled with "http://"

Yes, I've just been scammed again, this time for a huge amount. I opened my debit card statement this morning and I've been pretty much cleaned out - several debits for 'o2 Money Card' each withdrawal for £500. Won't be able to pay my bills this month. Devastated. I called Barclays who hadn't even picked up on it. They've now stopped the card and said they'll send some forms. I am incredibly careful with my details and I don't even use my card very often, I don't know how this has happened.0

Several but I don't think this site should be making them less secure by trying (referring) to log into them. People can do that themselves with their own browser. It makes good sense not to be running these sorts of scripts on this site.
A simple 'report' button does most sites.
That link you posted doesn't show and image just a link.0 -
o2 money card is rife for fraud at moment. Doesn't effect credit cards though!0

You can test this with any mailto: link on any site - your browser's behaviour will be exactly the same as it is on this site.
Of course if this standard browser behaviour (IE does it as well) is confusing to you, it's possible to disable it in Firefox: http://blog.johang.se/2009/02/disabling-mailto-links-in-firefox.htmlPeople can do that themselves with their own browser. Aldo, so using a Debit Card can be unsafe, as compared to a Credit Card? So do credit cards have more inbuilt security mechanisms to deter thieves? I'm still baffled as to how the O2 Money Card scammers got my debit card details. And the bank didn't take any notice - or maybe they've given up!0 -

I always use a Credit card over a Debit card and pay off, obviously I don't use a Credit card for Cash though but everything else I do.
Debit card numbers are worth more to a fraudster than Credit cards as certain things you can't use a credit card for (o2 Money card being one)
Also at the end of the day, it's not your money they are stealiong with a credit card but with your bank card it is, unless you are constantly in the overdraft0 -
Just phoned Barclays Fraud Dept again, because I've had yet another £1,000 taken from my account in the hours running up to my stopping the card. Unbelievable that they allowed all these huge 'O2 Money Card' withdrawals to go through, day after day. It's not the kind of service I expect from my bank, I've made a formal complaint. I will have to do as you suggest Aldo and just use a credit card from now on.0

Let us know how your (Visa?) debit card fraud works out.
There was a guy on the radio yesterday who had lost 40K, but the bank reimbursed him.
Like an upstanding citizen, he tried to go to the police with his evidence and the investigations he had made.
There attitude was "You have not lost any money so there is no crime".
That is a good way of keeping the government happy and the crime figures to prove they are tough on crime and tough on the causes of crime!
