Then nothing happens, this is not the first time and their web site shows latest delivery as 27/08/2011.

Yet again I had another unattempted delivery from Amazon for a Saturday, arrived at the HDNL Wembley depot around 4 am on Saturday and is shown as to be delivered by today, and they did not even bother to put it on the van. This frequently happens with them for Saturday deliveries and as this is a bank holiday weekend, I won't see the item until Tuesday. I wish you could choose your courier with Amazon.

Make sure you complain to Amazon, they might even give you a refund.

Amazon shows the expected delivery as yesterday and HDNL show as deliver by 27th Aug on their redirection page.
  • I have discovered that my parcel from Amazon is being delivered by these guys (thought would have been royal mail!!!) and came across this thread and some others...I really hope that it arrives ok as I am only off work today and tomorrow!! I have been home allday and no delivery yet and have got to go out at 4.30 for about an hour to see family...what is the betting that it will turn up then?!
It said that it was loaded on the drivers van from their depot at 10.30am today, but it doesn't say if van has left depot (or does it even tell you any more than its on the van?)
  • We had a couple of deliveries from them - one which was fine, the other which was left with a neighbour. Thing is, it's just not something you do in our area as it's such a troublesome neighbourhood. We even stipulated in the comments not to do this but it seems the couriers just want to dump and run.

It has stopped me going through certain providers.

    Hi,

Tracking isn't that specific. After its loaded in van the next update will either be it has been delivered or it hasn't.

In my experience HDNL can deliver until late (although depends on area), but i've had parcels delivered or the cards posted upto 7PM at times.

You have to pay a premium usually to ensure saturday delivery.

Everything seems standard so far with yoru consignment......

    Bank holidays are a pain.
  • I must agree with the people complaining about the HDN poor service.

I used them with parcel2go flawlessly for quite a few packages until one of them was delivered to one of my customers damaged (a pair of speakers).

You need to have 2 decent speakers for them both to work, HDN claimed because they only damaged one speaker they would only refund the cost of 1 speaker (half the total cost) not both! No complaints proceedure to speak of, no way of taking complaint further.

I had to give my customer a full refund and I was left out of pocket as a result. In summary terrible complaint handling, poorly delivered parcels, horrible call centres.

    BE WARNED!
  • Ordered a food processor from Amazon and paid £7.20 postage to have it priority expedited. The estimated delivery date was today. I tracked the parcel this morning to find out that it had been loaded for delivery at 0832 this morning. It still says this on the Amazon tracking details but when I tracked on the HDNL website it says it was returned to the depot at 1806 this evening. I waited in all day and didn't leave the house for a minute. I spent quite a while reading this thread while I was waiting so I feared the worse!
I have complained to Amazon as it is ultimately their responsibility but I will call HDNL on Monday morning, not that I expect to get a decent response.

....oh and hello all, this is my first post :)
