Just you left feedback suggesting the sellers attitude to feedback was rude and then had problems in this area.

    N/M Found it, duh!

I can't believe you would leave a neg over a polite note. I don't like the notes myself, and might knock a star off comms but a neg is way OTT.

If she see what i put before (" All the guy had to do was put a bit more celotape on the felt tip pack so when i got them they werent all falling out ")

i didnt just neg due to the note, the packaging was c*** it annoyed me he had the nerve to say i should leave 5*s for everything when he cant wrap well. He did ask me to contact before-to which i did and he didnt reply.

I offered to revise my feedback and now left a nuetral and guess what.. oddly the "buyer" rejected my cancellation request. I wonder why.

    The note:
    "
if you are satisfied with out merchandise please leave a 5 star feedback and our automated feedback system will immediately do the same for you.
you may think you are leaving a resonable rating by giving us a seller drs of 4 stars but ebays feeback system treats anything less than 5 star as substandard and penalizes sellers for dsr ratings that are below 5 star.from the wording of the allowed rating many buyers would never know this and most would naturally assume that a 4 star rating is very good. After all staying in a 4 star hotel is considered to bery very good in the real world adn 5 stat hotles are rare and extermely expensive. As you can see ebay is powered by postivie feedback and a 5 star service is always our objective. Ebay uses dsr to determine our fees and the search standin of our items which in terms regualtes how much and at waht price we can sell our items. So please contact us before leaving anything less than 5 star rating"

I typed it out exactly how they send it, inc italics and underlines.

I did what they said, i contacted them as i wasnt satisfied. I wonder how many of there positives were down to people being threatend

Sellers can only request feedback revision so many times (small amount) in every 1000 transactions

Perhaps the OP was slightly over the top by giving a neg, but the feedback decision is a personal one, and to be honest Im really not that keen on sellers little slips 'insisting' on five stars. I'll decide how many stars thank you very much!!

However what the seller has done in response is really not on at all irrespective of whether the neg was justified or not, I hope you get it sorted OP, feedback extortion is a nasty business.

Personally I would not get into a discussion with the seller on the lines of 'you leave your feedback first, then I'll consider revising the negative' as that could be seen to be as bad as him by ebay.

Edit, just done some searching and found two points that are odd...the account that bought the OPs shoes has bought at least 7 items from the pen man (are they not the same person? why is he buying things from himself?) Also to be fair OP, you have sold the shoes as 'new' but then in the description say you have only worn them indoors, so they are not really new.

Having said that, I still stick with me origional opinion, feedback extortion is sneeky and wrong, whatever the motivating factors.

o/p I recommend if you cant operate by ebays rules, or operate in a civil manner with sellers that you simply close your ebay account down for the good of all sellers who may have the misfortune to sell to you at any time.
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
    [/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

    Lindos90-
It was slighty ott but like you said it was a personal thing. Ive had quiet a few sellers insisting i give them brilliant feedback and they dont deserve it. If they hadnt put the note in i may have given a neg/neutural for bad packaging. As people have pointed out they it would cost the same to ship as they cost, but they should still pack it well.
    Ive ignored them now.

I only saw two. Ebay says their not the same person as one is in spain, but like i have said when i went into paypal they have the same last name. It isnt a common name it looks polish but could be spanish. And why would someone who didnt know the seller threaten me over pens?

Regarding the shoes i have ammended it as they have some marks on the bottom due to a shoe rack(it has taken some of the paint/dye off the bottom). By worn indoors i mean i tried them on. Then meant to send back and put on the shoe rack and forgot about them. I should have possibly put that i just tried them on not worn around the house.

Apprently ebay are going to get back to me in the next week regarding the feedback.
