            Well said Slimfandango.
I'm always trying to point out on here that these 'nasty
sellers' people are quick to bash on here - are not always big business , who should know better - it might be someone in a wheelchair trying to make a life for themselves and their family. It could be a pensioner, struggling to make ends meet. The fact is - it could be anyone. Ebay was originally full of normal people, getting rid of their stuff. These people are still here - and being treated appaulingly by people who do not understand Ebay. Ebay's attempt to make them perform like a business - is also wrong.
In this case though - it IS a busines. This does not mean he's minted though - or running a big operation. Delivering 30 felt tips for £1.97 inclusive, tells me that profit margins are very tight. Despite this - he manages to be a top rated seller.
The lack of packing will have been to make it fit into the large letter post bracket. Thats why they were able to post them so cheap to you. The packet postage rate would have been £1.96 for postage alone!!!
Some people really do need to stick to the shops.0

...they have not typed it out properly....(snip)

Perhaps the solution in this case is to let the felt tip seller know you think what he has done is wrong, but you have had a chance to think about the feedback you left him and think you were too harsh and are willing to remove it. You could let him know that you now feel you are in a stalemate because you can't remove the neg you left him at this stage because he would still be free to leave you an unfair neg on the item he "bought" from you. See if you can negotiate a compromise.0

If it makes anyone feel better, all this talk of 30 felt tips for 1.97. made me realise my sons are in dire need of replacing, so Ive just bought some off the chap 0 0

 sellers can't leave negative feedback0

They can when they've just bought one of your items using a different ebay account as has happened to the OP.terra_ferma wrote: »sellers can't leave negative feedback 0 0

well hes just emailed me this:I told you that you have to remove a negative feedback that you have recently left. We can then forget about the transaction we made and I will accept your cancelation request and leave you a positive feedback
i dont think hes as nice as everyone is making out to be. He asked me to email him which i did-he didnt reply so he either didnt care or was busy.I did what he asked.i emailed him. He didnt email back... didnt want to/too busy to do that. He only replied after.0

Now that is unmistakeable as feedback extortion. Certainly worth forwarding to ebay.well hes just emailed me this:I told you that you have to remove a negative feedback that you have recently left. I still think you are in a strong position to convince him to leave his feedback first. That neg is a very big deal for him and you need to convince him that you won't be making the first move.0

After posting i did think i was being a bit harsh but with in a day he started this.
To ask me to remove his feedback he said this (the first contact with the actual seller):
 Hello,
Your feedbacks is ABSOLUTELY unfair and does not relate to the product itself. I will ask you to remove it.
 Regards
As a seller i wouldnt ever word it like that. Id ask why their was an issue. Not try and force me to change it. If i have left bad feed back any they ask/address why (sometimes theyve sent the wrong package) i will change it if they ask in a civilised manner. No im not one of those buyers who expect heaven and earth. All the guy had to do was put a bit more celotape on the felt tip pack so when i got them they werent all falling out .Not alot to ask really is it?0

Ok, so he was very direct, but he also has a valid point and has articulated it well. You haven't told us what your response to that message was...
At the end of the day, I don't think either of you are very nice. This isn't a competition over who is most horrid!0
