Well I’ve just proved to myself that it is possible to log into my account using IE8 and Google Chrome web browsers simultaneously!
Had to receive a mobile code for each log-in but no warning whatsoever that I was already logged-in!
As the Tesco system thinks I’m on different PC’s anyway, you’d think some sort of warning might be customary as surely this could appear to be a security threat?:(
Looks like receiving mobile codes indefinitely, as I always delete TIF folder on exit for my own privacy/security.
Anyone know which SMS messenger service Tesco use? Think I’ll go buy me some shares.

Not a problem that affects me, but if the system relies on Flash does that mean that folks with iPads will be unable to use Tesco Bank? If I recall correctly Apple does not support Flash on mobile devices.

I see that at last Tesco makes it clear in its Q&A that iPads and similar are not supported. How many hours of its and customers' time have been wasted dealing with all the callers ringing up wondering why their iPads don't work because Tesco did not make this clear from the outset?

My Future Payments doesn't work at all either so add me to the minority;).

The FP's I set up on the 'old' system for 1st July don't show up (but may when the glitch is fixed)?

The FP I set up last friday was 'accepted' with the green tick in a circle and sentence to that effect but doesn't show on the FP list so it may or may not be going to happen!

I got through to Tesco this morning after a 25 minute wait (their message says 30+ minute wait now not the 15 the CEO thinks it is!) spoke to very nice under pressure lady but was of limited use beyond Tesco are aware of all the problems and their technical staff are working on it (all of the problems).

She agreed the risk of doubling up on future payments is a real one in my case as the previously set up ones MAY appear after the glitch is hopefully sorted and the duplicate one I set up last week MAY go ahead even though not shown yet on the FP list. It's a guessing game, not really good enough from Tesco but then we all know that already!

Just checked and the Future Payments are there under the re-designated 'Money Out' heading. All are there! The migrated from earlier in the month AND the 'replacement' ones I made.

I've deleted the newer payments and after fridays payments go there will be £1 left in the account after which I will ignore it for a few months and then check to see how wonderful, useful and customer friendly the new site has possibly become.

    What a pallaver(sp)

In which we read that credit card accounts are to be migrated in August and September. Oh joy.

And I had thought I might revert to my Tesco card when Barclays take my Egg Money card off me. Maybe not.

My lastest attemp to ring Tesco was answered in 15 minutes (that was brilliant-so I though), but this was not the case as they then put me through to another number; this wait was 1 hr 09 minutes. They then put me through to security to which I was on hold for another 15 minutes: I than hung up.
I rang the original number which was answered in 15 minute and told them that I was not making anymore phone calls about trying to log-in, and I wanted my money out: now!. I have always liked banking with Tesco but this is beyond a joke now.

Yes, further to my post #393 where I detailed how Tesco had contacted me about this issue, the fix is now installed.

I'm a bit confused about one of your comments as they've always existed under the 'Money Out' section - they were just not being displayed due to the glitch...

HOWEVER, you like me can now see and delete Future Payments BUT have you created one then tried to amend it ?

For me that throws up an error. :(

Similarly the Future Payments that I created in the old setup and were transferred over I can now see, but the details are incomplete and I can neither amend nor delete them !

At present, if a 'Future Payment' logged using the present-system is no good for me I have to delete it then redo it, rather than just change it...

Funnily enough, I haven't had the promised phone call today from Mr Tesco to check if the fix has sorted things - I wonder why.....!

Thanks for that tip off. I think I will be using other cards until further notice. If it all goes the way of the savings account, imagine the number of people likely to be embarassed because their card gets rejected in shops, restaurants, hotels etc.

Perhaps we will have to receive a text message every time we want to use our cards ?

One lesson that should have been learnt is that call centres are horribly unscalable. Any queuing system degrades badly when overloaded, but call centres are especially vulnerable because "surplus" staff are expensive and extra staff aren't easily added. A call centre that's busy enough normally is the last thing that should be relied on to sort out a crisis.

Yes the old heading was Future Payments within the Money Out section, now it's Money Out heading within the Money Out section! Future Payments is now in small script above.

I could delete the two FP I set up last week but the two I made weeks ago won't let me at them.

If I click Amend it says Error: String not found. You do not have any Tesco accounts that allow money to be paid out.

If I click Cancel (the FP) it says, System Unavailable. Sorry we are not able to complete your request. Please try again or click Contact Us.(To tell us what we need to fix next!?)

So I will have to leave them be and let the FP's go!

P.S. I closed my Tesco credit card a few weeks ago; I'm so glad.

Yep, (most of) my missing FPs finally showed up yesterday (28 June), but I coudn't delete or amend.

Which is a shame, because I moved all but £1 out of my account over the weekend.

The next withdrawal is £201 scheduled for Friday 1 July. I'll have to let it go ahead, because I'll be away from my "regular" computer until the weekend.

Before I go, somebody might be interested in my experience with linked (not 3rd-party) accounts, or what the rest of the world would call direct debit mandates.

I had two of these set up on the old system. One of them appeared as a "linked account" last Wednesday (22 June).

I tried to set up the missing account again, but this apparently failed (details in an earlier post). Twice.

But the next day I had two new linked accounts, or rather two new DD mandates set up on the "missing" linked account.

And now I have three, since the original finally showed up on the list yesterday.

Well done, guys. At the rate you're finding and fixing the bugs, the system shoud be fit to go live in about six weeks.

I shan't be using it, though - not unless and until I can (a) access the account from anywhere without a mobile phone, and (b) deal with non-critical problems, or report bugs, by email. If I have to telephone, I'll close the account (that's not just Tesco, it's my policy with all supposedly "online" accounts).
