    Great stuff! Get PADding now!

Ha ha had thought about that actually as usually kinda try to wait until the end of the month and when I hit payday see what is left.

Do you reckon best way would be to divide the left over money between the number of days and anything left over make a PAD with? How do peeps handle emergency's to pay out for? Or maybe could pay half save half and then pay whatever is left over at the end? Decisions decisions!

Will be so good when I know the monthly payment for that card xxx

I tend to have all my bills go out within a few days of me being paid. I have a list of my bills and tick them off as they go out of my account.

I then have tax credits paid weekly. Out of this i pay for my nursery fees, food and fuel. Once this is done I round down my account to the nearest 5 or 10. I have chosen to only PAD to my utility bill arrears and my savings account. If there's £2.57 the 57p goes to savings and the £2 is split between the gas and electric. Hope that makes sense :rotfl:

If my account is already rounded down, i don't post a PAD but i'm saving small change. When there's a reasonable amount i will PAD that too.

Phew!!! It's hard work trying to crawl back out of debt isn't it?!! ;)

Mega quick update as off to bed! Had a fantastic weekend spoiling my dad :D

Have decided to volunteer for Bristol's Gay Pride festival in the next few weeks and am taking DD with me as we are going to be Parade Marshals for 2 hours which then gets us free tickets to the Festival which has a load of bands playing, cabaret etc and shows...looks amazing and free event for 2 hours work! Will be good to volunteer and hopefully meet some new people!

Transferred final money onto card with 0% (can't remember if I have mentioned this already!).

Need to contact the Council as still no sign of my revised Council Tax bill :(

Also heard back from that eBay ticket buyer who has apologised for not paying the Postage fee and has said he will pay me £10 tomorrow for my troubles! Happy Days! :D xxx

Hello everyone, can't believe it is Wednesday evening already! Where has the time gone!

I have logged onto Virgin card today and can see that the BT has gone through and that means I am now down to one Credit Card, the BT fee was £260 which is only a little more than the one months interest I was paying on the card before!

So balance (as now in my sig) is sat at £5460. So now have the loan (48 monthly payments worth) and the one card, making it so much easier to manage. The BT hasn't cleared yet off of the old HSBC card as that should be sat at zero so really hope that clears asap!

I reckon that HSBC will still try taking the DD in a few days for the usual monthly £200. Therefore I don't really want them too as that will mean the CC will be £200 in credit to me! I will put my £200 car service on it tomorrow and leave that there so that the £200 payment they take will cover that making the balance zero. So much easier as for exactly same amount rather than getting them to pay me back as the DD says they will take the payment regardless of the amount owed to the account.

Emily had an Army training day today and is shattered out and as my leggies hurt I have decided to give Kickboxing a miss tonight and save the money to give Emily for her special sports trip next week. I also brought her a long sleeved top from Asda last night, was only £4 for her to wear today under a t-shirt as the Army day asked for them to be covered up. I then went on to find one at home late last night...typical! So have kept the receipt and the tags on and will be taking it back for a refund. Pre-this diary days I would have just forgotten about it but now I think £4 is £4!

Having a friend round for tea on Tuesday as it was his birthday and I couldn't afford to get him anything. Am cooking the foodies now to get it over with so that I can freeze it ready for Tuesday. That will be nice having a friend over :)

Hope everyone is well. Must say it is a mega weight off of my shoulders knowing that there is only one card and the loan now. Still the same amount of money but soooo much less interest and soooo muche easier to get my head around to try and manage. Feeling a heck of a lot more positive money wise now...onwards and upwards!

Found a PS3 game I am gonna list on ebay tonight. Another gift I brought the ex so hopefully I can make a few quid back as is a relatively new game. Music Magpie and CEX offered £9 cash but reckon I could get a few quid more...gotta be done!

Should be getting the £35 for the wardrobe thingy tomorrow or Friday...happy days!

Got the MSE email today which mentions about cheap Chicago tickets in London as from tomorrow. Some special deal.

I know Emily really wants to go and see it, so may add it all up to see how much it would cost to go as a treat over the summer hols as I have 2 weeks leave off work booked. It is in London so would have to get a cheap coach deal down there so will work out the costings and see what I can do. She has been soooo good understanding about the money. She had lots of School trips come up over July and has refused to go on any of them due to the money and also when I gave her a few quid for refreshments at the Army day, she refused point blank to spend it and has stuck to her guns! Bless her. One day I will be able to spoil her rotten like she deserves xxx

Oh bless her, what a sweetheart. My kiddies are my motivation too. I've told my eldest son that at least once a month we will do something 'different'. I managed to him to the theatre this month with friends. I asked the mom's to pay for their child's ticket but i treated them all to a drink / sweets - will only take one friend next time  Can't believe how much they charged for sweets!! Was worth it though as he had such a fab time.

I hope you can find a good deal for London. I'll let you know if i come across anything.

Thanks Hopeful1 :) I am still toying with the idea of London and the tickets but reckon I may leave it and concentrate on finding something a little closer to home. Maybe I could start doing what you do, once a month do something different! It is hard enough trying to find an afternoon when DD is actually free to see me! Teenagers!
