Well looks like the Council have now accepted my Single Occupier claim from the 7th July (which is when my ex moved into his new home out from his mates where he had spent the previous month) as my ex had completed his own single occupier form for his new address.
I still want the extra money owed to me granted so once the finalise their 'enquiries' hopefully they can amend my bill before the first bill payment is due and put everything right. They have not asked for the first payment until 1st September so they have a little while to sort it hopefully. I have advised the friend who my ex was staying with that the Council will be in touch soon and if he could get back to them asap that would really be great.

Geez the council are hard work to deal with. Sounds like you're nearly sorted though.
Good thinking with the Tescos voucher, it's nice to be able to treat the children WITHOUT it costing a fortune
Have you got any plans for the weekend? One step at a time0 -
Too right Hopeful1! If I had the money I would treat her a heck of a lot more...one day!
Yep me and Emily are volunteering at the Gay Pride festival on Saturday so that will be fun! They are having music, cabaret stages, comedy stages etc so should be goodSunday I will be forcing myself out for a run as with a half marathon in 8 weeks and I haven't run properly in months I need to pull my finger out! Am hoping to start some work on getting the garden up together as looks like a jungle so will take me ages to strim it all down first
Am toying with the idea of a trip to the cinema too as love the cinema and haven't been for a few weeks. Will have to see money wise though and if we do go, will be sure to take food and drink with us!
Checked the old ex's Virgin card and they want £29.44 for interest.....grrrrrrrrrr! Better sort that out very soon tooWill be glad to have that well and truly sorted out.
Brother has finally picked a birthday pressie...wants Fast and Furious 5 on Blu-ray which isn't out until September so will be a pre-order job! Now to find out what my step mum wants and that will be birthdays sorted out until Emily's 15th in October! Gawd that makes me feel old!

Best news i've heard all day ha ha!!
What are you planning to watch at the cinema? I'm rubbish with watching films - i find it really hard to sit still for a long time. Yes, i know, i'm just like a child :oI like the popcorn though!
My eldest wants to see the new Harry Potter. I've decided that's male bonding time and asked his dad to go with him. It's all in the delagationOne step at a time0 -
Ha ha it's the best news I have had this year lol!
Been thinking on watching the film 'Bridesmaids' comedy film that everyone is raving about. Will have to see as really have plenty of films I could watch at home and could do with saving the money really. I need to strike a balance though, small occasional treat as this debt busting is gonna be long haul! I would like to see Harry Potter but haven't seen the 2 previous ones yet so best not! Are they going this weekend? Got any plans of the weekend?
Well the £35 quid for the wardrobe thingy is winging its way to me and I will be using it to pay off the remaining interest towards the old Virgin card.
Got a refund on a few plumbing bits I didn't use in B & Q so that helps.
Nearly had a heart attack earlier. Virgin mobile sent me a MASSIVE phone bill for my mobile. Basically I changed over about a month back from a Liberty Sim which was one of those no contract jobs over to a contract for 2 years as only worked out a few quid a month more and they gave me a free phone after my old phone that came out of the arc finally went kaput! They told me I would be on the contract straight away. But when I got my statement today it said I was not on any tariff and they had charged me for every single text, minute and internet browsing I had used. Even if they had kept me on my old contract it would have only been a few quid but for some reason they took me off the old one and never set up the new one so wanted to take a heck of a lot of £££ next week by Direct Debit. I thought something was up a couple of days back when I got a text from Virgin saying congrats you are on a contract and I thought that it didn't make sense as should have had that weeks ago...now I know why!
They have assured me they will only take the £20.43 that they are owed for the months and the will not take the massive bill amount! They better be right or I will soooo kick off. Wish things could run smoothly!

Geez Louise!!! If i got charged for every text i make i'd go bankrupt  Hope they stick to their word the dingbats.
Think the Harry Potter popcorn feast will be saved for the holiday. I try to make sure he has pockets of things to do with one or both of us without the LO. Babies, well he's a toddler now, just take up the attention and the eldest is so good with him.
Not impressed with the weather, hope this isn't a sign of things to come for the 6 wk hols. It makes it so much more expensive.
Well, it's the library today and ebaying - free listing this weekend so want to take advantage. It's such a yawn fest though! One step at a time0 -
Hi Donna
I hope Virgin only take the £20 and not the full whack.
My sister and I wanted to see Bridesmaids, but apparently there is a really bad throwing up scene in it. I just can't handle seeing people throw up, even if it's fake. Let us know what it's like if you do go and see it.
Have fun at the Gay Pride festival today. I hope it's better weather your way than it is in Portsmouth (rain rain rain).

I know the weather has been PANTS! It was peeing down really heavy up until lunchtime and luckily it cleared up for Gay Pride so we were nice and dry! Blimin' knackered out now though so having an early night I reckon in a minute!
Just as we were marshalling the parade I ran into a couple of mine and my ex's friends. We were both meant to attend their wedding which was the day before he dumped me. I tried to be really friendly and nice but there was a real awkwardness and could tell that they didn't want to talk to me. It was horrible. I have sent them both a quick message on facebook and will see what their reaction is. I haven't done anything wrong so don't know as to why they would behave like that.
Didn't know about free listing weekend. Might try and find a couple of bots to pop on then.
Virgin were a right bunch of numpties! Especially when they were like 'Donna, may I call you Donna? There appears to be some sort of mistake' Dam right!
Had to laugh at DD earlier. Whilst at Gay Pride a guy walking in front of me dropped a wad of cash out of his back pocket (why do people do that? Get a wallet!) so I done the honest thing and chased after him and gave it to him back, much to his and his mates mega surprise! I said to Emily that I believe in Karma so hopefully something good will happen now and she said '!!!!!!, karma? All you get is non stop crap!' which is right really!
Will let you know Emz about the sick scene then! I really want to see it but has and still is a very expensive month so really don't know if I can justify itRoll on when I am DF and this kinda rubbish about we worrying over a cinema ticket will be non existent! xxx

Have just been onto Internet Banking to pay off the last interest payment off of the ex's Virgin card, the £29.44. Then noticed that my Virgin card has taken the minimum payment that would have been applicable before I done all the paying off then balance transfer stuff, of £30.83. So that has taken the CC amount in my sig down a bit. It will be payday a week on Wednesday when it will be nice to know the actual minimum payments of everything and what I am left with etc.
I need to make sure I have put aside the money for the months TV licence, Grading money for Kickboxing, Brother's Birthday pressie as is on pre-order so they haven't taken the money yet plus the money for that awful boxing match from a few weeks back!
Gonna take Buzzby for his jabs a week Tuesday to get that out of the way. I have a £2 off voucher if I take him before the end of the month...every little bit helps.
Once this is all done I can have a look at what I have left over and decide either to pay it towards the card or towards my Car Insurance which will be due very soon! xxx:j 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' - DFW Nerd member 866 :j0
