OH wanted to go out for dinner last night.....to be fair, we've eaten so much out the cupboards that we've not much to make meals out of now and really do need a good stock up shop. Which is the plan for payday on monday.
But i had a sarnie with cheese and onion for lunch today and cake from the cupboards.
Lunches we are fine with i can do about a week's worth, but dinners are going to be a struggle!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Spent £1.20 yesterday (Sainsbury's) on a reduced tub of double cream for 20p and got a pack of mini crunchies for £1 (were to take on plane but ate half a packet last night)!!!
Bacon sandwiches for breakfast and making pasta again with leek and blue cheese sauce toppped with some bacon. Might make potato skins to use up a few potatoes.
Last day for spending as I'm away tomorrow morning and only need some stuff for sandwiches on plane - pick up some more free Dallaglios though when I'm there (Morries). Get my free Cravendale also - should be ok for when I get back (hopefully).
Fridge is virtually empty.
Oven still in bits and will probably have to buy a new one on my return - all that money saved of late will have to be spent on a new oven!!

morning everyone, read through part of the thread but I want to join in please.
I got new freezer yesterday ( undercounter) and got my supply of meat ( usually go to makro and buy chicken, steak pieces , gammon) alo have a side by side freezer.
Now after getting home I am in panic, my cupboard are full and I need to sort them and to be honest looking from here I think I can probally make meals from now to Christmas with only buying veg, milk, bread and cooked meats for lunches.
going to do an invetory later when I split my meat for freezer ( all in fridge at minute lol )
Wish me luck :rotfl:TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
Welcome along doelani...The more the merrier :j
I gave in and had a take away last night, I'm out with my friend tonight so will not be eating much out of either cupboards or freezer!!
When the boys come back tomorrow it will be steak pie dinner (pie actually coming out of the freezer :T) and will hopefully make more headway when there are more mouths to feed than just me!!Anywhere is within walking distance - if you have the time!!0 -

I did freeze soup last week and used it a few days for lunch and it probally tasted better than to start with lol
Really not looking forward to sorting freezers later but has to be done lol

Well, i think we've cleared out freezer out as well as we can do! Eating the last bits before heading out to do a big shop tomorrow evening (debating which supermarket to go to....nectar points from sainsburys usually wins.
Today i think OH wants to go to his parents for dinner, so i will have some meatballs and garlic bread that are left in the freezer.
Lifted out some bacon for breakfast, and we also have eggs. so thats sorted.
Heard through the grapevine they are opening a tesco express in our village, I hate T's normally, but yellow stickers will come in handy if they are any good.
Need to get bread and milk today, but thats all i shall spend my pennies oneAnnual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

morning, got freezers sorted, at least I know whats there now and where it is lol Had to go buy milk this morning and was not even tempted to look at anything else.
all alone today, so after Church I am going to do a list of whats in cupboards and then will be the fun bit, menu planning for the week.
I must say I was not that surprised at what I found in freezer, knew most was there. will just be the fun bit of seeing whats in the cupboard, I buy things, spices etc and use them once lol
I get fed up of eating the same things.TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
I'm going to make another loaf of bread today and will freeze this one. I had enough flour for 5 loaves of bread and this will be loaf number 3.
Soon I will be moving onto the frozen sprouts and butternut squash - do any of you wish you could just throw some of the old stuff away? At least this way I'm not buying new stuff that will not get eaten. I've some veggie meatballs in the freezer - I might see if I can use those in a curry.
Today I'll be eating green beans, carrots and sprouts and a Linda McCartney pie (final one) and a couple of yorkshire puddings and some new potatoes

We've just been doing this before moving house, works very well to save pennies and space! Big vats of pasta with tinned tuna, etc. Actually feel a bit "lost" now all my back up supplies are gone0
