anyhoo today we had muffins (reduced) and kiwi (reduced) for breakfast lunch is the last of the sausage rolls for ds and i'm hvaing lo caulifower and brocolli cheese, dinner is fishfingers chios and beans, gonna do the kids waffles as they will use the last of the box and free up a wee bit of space, had some doughtnuts yesterday out of the freezer so i can see the level coming down slightly, sometimes i think chest freezers are worse because u can't see everything til u get to it and the smaller stuff fall threw i'd say theres several packets of sausages in the bottom of mine

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning.
After 2 no-spend-days I finally spent yesterday, but only 81p on food - not too bad, 81p over 3 days!!
Bought a couple of garlic pizza breads yesterday from Sainsbury's and had one last night and have the other later with spag bol (made with turkey mince). Need to get rid of some Southern Fried chicken tomorrow and maybe some fish on Friday - smoked salmon for hubby and I might try those fish fingers. lol
Hoping to get some Sacla sauces from Morries later, but they will be free with the coupons (if in stock).

  • Afternoon all!
After a couple of barginous whoopsie shopping trips am back on the challenge and trying not to go shopping again for a good few weeks if I can manage it!
Brekkie was (free) honey shreddies and milk with a banana (5p for whole bunches!)
lunch chicken sandwiches with figs (20p for 4)
dinner is chinese chicken with everything except the chicken rustled from cupboards,
have also made a cake, 7 cupcakes, 16 rice krispie cakes and foraged some scones from the freezer for an afternoon birthday tea (not mine!) this afternoon!
still- the cupboards and freezer are now groaning again so must avoid the shops (and the grabbit board!)
Thanks for all the tips on freezing cheese- used a fair bit of it in sandwhiches and have frozen enough to do a macaroni cheese at some point! :)
anyone have any idea what I could do with extra bananas? I have about 10 , some of which can be eaten but the rest are struggling! have already given away as many as I can , have no butter or sugar left for cakes and no freezer space if I did make them! answers on a postcard pls! ;)

£6.81 spent on food stuff yesterday, milk and mainly junk stuff like cream cakes, crisps and the Tesco Express Aero glitch.

Took a pack of bacon out and bacon butties for breakfast soon. Mixed day today, a little spag bol to use up an Southern Fried chicken. Might make a stir fry to get rid of peppers and bits.

BTW, Sacla Dallaglio sauces are free at the momemnt when using the £1 off coupons (Morries).

Spent £2.02 on food yesterday, some pasta, onions and bread buns.

Back luck last night when my oven went "pop" and away on hols Sunday, so no time to sort it out or order a new one.
All the money saved of food//groceries will probably be spent on a new oven, if it can't be repaired cheaply (only 3 or 3 1/2 years old)!!!

Got loads of free Dallaglio yesterday and hoping to get more Sacla from ASDA later if going out.

Toast today for breakfast and not too sure about the rest yet.
