Out of the freezer this week-end: 9 sausages, 2 ice lollies, 2 chicken breasts. In: Nothing.

I am trying to empty my freezer so that I can move it. Considering it is very slall it seems to be taking a long time.

Can somebody please tell me if you can freeze cream, and if some varieties are more successful than others?

for the soup I used my trusty food processor, which I've had for getting on for 25 years ... anyone else got an essential bit of kitchen kit (esp. electrical) which is still going strong?

Funnily enough, today I put what I thought was a very optimistic bid on ebay for a Braun 600 Combimax food processor (including all the attachments) - and won it:) Only cost me just over £6:j, and it's nearby so I'll collect it and save on postage too. Can't wait to try it out.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Evening all, hope all are well.

TanH - welcome and good luck.

Spent just £22.91 last week including £10.57 yesterday.
NSD today as been out most of the day.
Shouldn't go over £20 this week as I'm away from Wed - Sun and told hubby to eat out of the freezer. He's got loads of fruit to finish also.
Steak and ale with mash today and probably the same tomorrow as some left.

Got approx 1 and a half freezers drawers to clear and that will be the empty freezer. I'm going to stop being frugal after that and finish counting my spends. Aim is to clear that freezer first though. I haven't bought as much junk this year, so only bits of "rubbish" to clear.
I will still look for bargains and stock up, but want to get back to normal after what appears to be 18 months of being frugal.

Not much needed this week as I got quite a bit of what we need yesterday. Taking Brother shopping tomorrow and pick up any bargains, but I honestly don't need anything.
BTW, Asda still have the Alpro hazelnut milk on @ £1 per litre. They also have 50p offers like pineapples and packs of 4 oranges. Hope these 50p offers continue.

Sequeena OMG that's what I call a backlog - 5kg of fish. My OH is a meatlover, although weirdly his two favourite meals are both veggie.

He has this habit of choosing the meat and chicken from the freezer first and if I don't get fish out, it ends up being at the bottom of the freezer.

He went to Sainsbury's and got some boil in the bag kippers with butter and some Taste The Difference venison after defrosting freezer yesterday but mostly bought organic veg.

IN (tomorrow) (assuming I get it all delivered by Ocado)

Daylesford organic chicken legs, drumsticks and wings.
    UK Game Company pheasant
    Waitrose organic British beef mince
Waitose organic NZ lamb leg steaks
Waitrose Icelandic line caught cod fillets
    Ocado skinless boneless haddock loins
    Ocado skinless boneless plaice fillets
essential Waitrose NZ diced lamb shoulder
    Brockleby game pie (for OH)
    Waitrose organic petits pois
    Waitrose organic sweetcorn
Waitrose organic oven chips (for OH)
Mackie's of Scotland organic vanilla ice cream

I saved £11 on offers on my total order and although that's way more freezer fodder than my normal weekly shop I squeaked in at £10 under budget.

    No freezer movements today.
For dinner we had sausage, HM wedges + poached egg + baked beans. Quick meal tonight - been busy all day.
Well done to my YDS - ran the Paris marathon for charity today. His first - he says last - did it in 5 hours.
