    Morning all.

Last day of the hols for ds. awwww  Actually I will miss him, but at least I can get some order to the house when he's back at school lol.

Have an interview today for a course so will be eating out with ds, but nothing expensive. Don't know what I'm going to do for tea. Going to have a look in the freezer in a mo.

Florenceem - I could just eat your tea from last night, for breakfast lol.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.

made a Mrs Simkins carrot cake, recipe on the Clipper Tea website, best recipe I've ever found for a carrot cake

"Thank you so much for sending me this, I was thrilled to bits! I've always liked this recipe and have made it quite often at home for years. It took a long time to develop initially. Over time, I tried all sorts of methods and eventually thought why not base it on my banana cake (which also took me ages, as did my orange cake) but swap the banana for carrot? I also added orange zest for freshness and cinnamon for warmth. I'm not over keen on cream cheese frosting so always top my carrot cake with orange buttercream. So glad it went down well with the forum member."

    Going in - nothing.
Coming out - egg/bacon pie and chicken.
No photo tonight. We had HM wedges + pastie/sausage roll + stir fry cabbage + onions + garlic for dinner. Had a tiring day - new windows!
I am used to sea breezes living at the seaside but it was quite bracing when four windows were out at the same time. One was out at the back - one at the front and two side ones - nowhere to get out of the cold! The men are back for a second round tomorrow!

Um I always thought Mrs Simkins was urban myth :o but as a low carber with diabetes I don't bake and OH has to make do with Respect organic carrot cake :D

Freezer movements (we have renamed the Freezer Book the Freezer Movements Book cos we lurve that phrase Florenceem xx)

IN loadsa stuff from Ocado.. cod fillets, plaice fillets, haddock loins (offer), whole pheasant (500g bird 4.99), organic ice cream (offer), organic chicken drumsticks, thighs and wings, organic sweetcorn and petit pois, organic cottage pie and game pie, organic New Zealand lamb leg steaks, organic British beef mince.

With the YS organic raspberries, HM lamb stock, President butter, kippers, diced venison and organic cheese (YS and Lidl) I thought it would look more full :( Fire Fox found a place that does organic frozen veg though so hopefully that will help.

Dinner tonight is essential Waitrose New Zealand diced lamb shoulder (didn't have any organic and NZ lamb is grass-pastured) in organic korma sauce with organic basmati rice (teeny bit for me) with veg sauteed and stirred in.

Larder has loads of teabags in as they were on offer at Ocado. Not much else other than herbs, spices, tinned tomatoes, baked beans for OH.

When I have emptied my freezer, I am going to be more health conscious about what goes back in, much less meat for sure, and I am hoping more fish. I seem to have bought a lot of reduced price meat which is leading to many evening meals of grilled something and veg. Quick and easy after work but it is too much meat.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

Spent £2.72 yesterday and included a pack of bread and butter puddings, reduced in Sainsbury's - not suitable for freezing, but I froze them (whoops)!!
I need ham and bread buns today, making a few sandwiches for journey to London tomorrow, but not much needed this week (not for myself anyway).

Just toast with jam for breakfast, hubby has had pineapple and orange as he's put back on almost a kilo since his cholesterol results!! That will be coming off quickly. lol
Took pork chops out to grill and have with roast veg, but they may be turned into a casserole. Some carrot and coriander soup to finish.

    Hope all are well.
