Started spring cleaning and am just stopping for lunch. Going to munch it looking for new blinds for kitchen and bedroom online. May go to new Dunelm Mill near my mother as never been in one before. Evidently it's so popular at weekends it causes traffic jams.
Thinking of making a nice vegetable soup for dinner tonight, got spring onions, onions, garlic, leeks, celery, wild rocket, watercress, winter purslane, spinach, sweet peppers, bell peppers, ramiro peppers, carrots, swede. celeriac, Savoy cabbage..
Sure there's some bread in freezer for OH and grated cheese to go on top as well.

Hi all,
Had a very, very busy weekend with church, jobs and the boys! Went for a run with my friend tonight - 3.7 miles in a very slow 42 mins but it is our first one in weeks now. Must get back into a routine if the weather would ever settle down.
Freezer still packed even though we are eating from it. I must be shopping too much again! Won't be able to soon anyhow once hubby is redundant. Still no luck with jobs. Two interviews so far but not quite made it through. He is keeping trying.
Just about to scoff a thai green stir fry / curry that hubby has made. I am famished! Kids had a bolognese I had in the freezer. They get sausages tomorrow as I have a half pack int he fridge that needs eating. Not sure about us but it will be something with corn on the cob.
Take care allx
3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Evening all
Drs appointment for DM was waste of time - she went in 35 minutes late only for him to prod and poke her around a bit and then tell her there was nothing he could do for her feeling "run down".
So we popped to the local chemist and bought her some vitamin tablet things, bit pricey but hopefully they'll do the trick.
In better news - painters are doneThey came to collect their rubbish this afternoon and did a bit of tidying up, also the main guy asked us if we wanted this plastic stuff we have squirreled up in our garage - its for redoing windowsills, great long piece resting over a pipe which we havent used and probably never will. DM said he could have it so thats gone and wont bother us anymore!
She wandered out to look at the work the builders had done actually and took a peek in our outside freezer (which she hasnt looked in since I came back from shopping about 2 weeks ago) and said "oh dear I might have to cook something" lol.
Lunch was a baked potato with can of beans, last of cheese in box, and some l/o salad which has kept well in the fridge in its plastic bag. Dinner was stirfry, which meant I had to find the wok in the bottom of the cupboard, hasnt been used for AGES lol. Used up half a pack of noodles, 1/4 pack of frozen stirfry veg, and whole pack of diced beef. Blimming lovely and enough left over for dinner tomorrow night.
Nothing IN freezer, but OUT came:
- block cheese
- portion bacon/chicken pasta bake for Wednesday eve
Wont be posting tomorrow as long day (presentation for interview promotion thing at work) and going for pub lunch with a friend before work in the evening.
Off to finish prepping - wish me luck :j0 -

Morning all.
Bit foggy here this morning. Could just do with a duvet day lol. Tea last night was beef and onion in a korma sauce with rice. Was nice. Don't know what I'm going to have for meals today. May have chicken soup for lunch and something spicy for tea.
Need to get bread and milk today but not much else. Have a good one all. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Morning all, bright but frosty here. It was cold last night!!
heating on all the time and EDF have just put Direct Debit up to £96 p/m to play catch up!!
Porridge for breakfast, ham sandwich and soup later and hubby has curry to finish tonight when footie is on.
I wouldn't mind a NSD today, but love spending the odd few £'s on bargains. lol
Took diced pork out for a casserole for tomorrow and either h/m pizzas (probably using ciabattas as bases) or pasta bake for Thursday.
I need bread (unless bake), rice and cheese by the end of the week.
TCB have £1 cashback with Tilda, but need a great offer to get that.
