Morning all.
Can't be bothered with the school run, but got to lol. I took some diced beef out the freezer last night. Going to cook it in the slow cooker with onions and have it with a Tikka Massala curry and rice I think.
Have the rats to clean out today and lots of tidying up to do. Need to put £5 in the bank or I'm going to be overdrawn when my mobile bill gets taken out. Pay day soon tho!
Won't be buying much at all this week. Milk and bread I'll need but nothing else I can think of.
Edwardia - sorry to hear about your dog. End of an era eh.There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
Morning all, I'me ready for work

Well its new week and trying to remain positive.
we overspent last week by £30 spending £80 including milk , nappies, treated ourselves £3.99 bottle wine for weekend, ran out coffee.
I did fine on evening meals as all the essential extras and overdoes fruit bumped up costs.
I know reason we struggled was trying to do week with empty cupboards and freezer had nothing much to fall back on.
The chicken made 10meals 3curries, 3huge chicken and veg pasties and 4bowls soup.
stocktaking cupboards and down to
1cartin passatta
1 chopped tomatoes
spaggeti only no other pasta.
have plenty flour
need some dried herbs and restock pepper
few potatoes
leeks
few apples , onions thats about it.
frurt and crisps dont last log instead biscuits been making fairly cakes all week but spent a bit on eggs butter and sugar.
packed lunches also bump costs up
nearly out cereal.
so todays plan

Morning all.
Got to shop for Brother later and I'll check for offers.
Toasted hot cross bun for breakfast and soup later.
I'll be popping into Tesco on Wednesday to use Nivea coupons and to pick up some foodbank stuff and see what they have worth buying. I think I'll get the Bonne Maman jam and get the 50p's from TCB.
TCB new offers are cr4p to myself and maybe the bubble has burst and the good initial offers were just to draw interest - we'll see.
Think another pork casserole for tomorrow.

you can make a pasta bake with these if you add the meat. I've made spaghetti pasta bake before, exactly the same as normal pasta bake, tastes delish!
Also for your lasagna sheets and ricotta...

Thank you again for all your best wishes for delurking and doing so.. welcome to the thread. I'm getting organised for Spring cleaning, DIY and gardening and hope to have my website ready by end of March too. The house will be cleaner but emptier. Was thinking about all the pets/animals I've been around and I don't think I've been animal-less for more than six months, my whole life.
Abel & Cole delivery due today, I was kinda distracted when I did it Saturday so I forget what else is coming besides milk, eggs and yogurt. Cheese maybe to feed the freezer with.
Sunny here but chilly. No leaves or buds but birds bouncing about. Blackbirds are so cute.
Have a good day all !0 -

Back from Morries and spent a load .................. well nearly £6 and that's a load for me in one spend. lol
Eggs - 1 dozen f/r for £2, Sharwood's noodles for £1, bread buns for 69p, pease pudding for 28p, gammon ham for £1.20 and "selected seconds" 1kg+ plums for 65p = £5.82.
Gammon ham is a great offer at only 48p per 100g and I'll get more at the weekend.
Got quite a bit from my "wanted list", so plodding along and get on track by Saturday.
